The rematch was another memorable war, and by no means an easy one for either fighter.

I scored it 114-113 for PacMan. Marquez should not feel any shame in this loss. He's still middle top 10 pound for pound if I will ever make a list.

Of course, if you're a JMM fan you'll be bitter with the decision especially with the OBVIOUS razor-thin edge. There's no robbery here, and most definitely no schooling from Marquez which many from the JMM side predicted.

Just as Marquez should hold his head high after such an excellent effort, PacMan deserved the win. If the public clamors for a third, I think they should both oblige.

I was at a party, keeping track out loud with some friends. I had Marquez winning by a very small margin, but am ok with a decision favoring Pac. What I am not ok with is someone having Pac winning the 12th.

Thats a sure fire sign of bias.

Very fair. Robbery is way to strong a word considering how effective and gutsy Pac was. To be honest he showed great heart, JMM had his cadence early and was catching Pac all night long with flush right hands. He has a beard of stone, Pac does.

The fact that PacMan took on the #3 P4P fighter and still narrowly won should at least make you stop and think about Floyd's case for remaining at the top spot.

thats cool with me, every respectable poster on these boards isnt crying robbery and i had JMM winning the 12th he did controlled too much of the first 2 minutes for Pac to win the round without getting a KD and Lederman was defintely wrong there, a JMM win would of been acceptable to me but to those crying robbery is making me laugh so hard inside.

Don't even get me started on Lederman. I have been watching his cards for the last several shows- I'm convinced the man is the worst judge of boxing in the world.

During the Mosely vs Cotto fight I was just awestruck at the b.s. he was putting up. It was almost as if he wasnt watching the fight.

You and I both know who won tonight Mirani, its all over the writing coming from Pac fans.

There is a Poll going around this forum that clearly states who the majority of the forum thinks won.

......and btw Mirani, Pac hurt JMM in the 3rd, and when JMM went to the wrong corner at the end of the round, I knew that he was'nt completely recovered.

When the 4th round started, Pac was still landing hard and clean, and in my mind I was saying "****, the one weakness that JMM has is that he does'nt know to hold and clinch to ride a tide when he's hurt.
.....but man, his high altitude training paid off, as he survived Pac's onslaught in rounds 3 and 4 without so much as a clinch, then continued where he had left off before getting hurt in the 2nd for rounds 5-9, till Pac caught him with a left hand again.

.......but lets be honest here my friend, although alot of you refuse to consider a rival debater a friend, I view you all as my internet boxing buddies....
....in any regards, Pac hurt JMM in rounds 2 and 10, you score those rounds for Pac, but they have nothing to do with scoring a fight for Pac because he happens to be the one that dropped JMM.

Its ridiculous reading some of these posters like Johnco who state, JMM kissed canvas he lost........you still have to score the other 11 rounds!
Thats the type of attiude toward scoring that I'm seeing from alot of Pac fans.
....and you are even breathing a little bit of that though to a lesser extent than some others.

To say that the judges scored for Pac because JMM got staggered and dropped is completely flawed.
I dont know for sure that you know it, but a fight is scored on a round by round basis, and who wins more rounds.

JMM clearly won more rounds, and lets get real here Mirani, although he was never put to the canvas, Marquez clearly laid some real hurt on Manny Pac.
Pac was clearly stunned in more rounds than JMM was, the only difference was that one round in the 3rd where it looked like Pac had a real legit chance at the KO.
To that I say, thank God for the high altitude runs that JMM had in the thin air of the Mountains of Toluca!:yep

JMM did his thing and Pac did what he does best....but it all equates to that Pac really needed to get a KO to feel good about himself.
I dont think Pac thinks that he won, it showed in his ring interview demeanor.
Although Pac certainly put a scare into JMM's supporters, he clearly did'nt outbox or win enough rounds to merit a win!
I sincerely believe that, and I even think most Pac fans know it but are just to proud to admit it!

If you think Marquez won by such a wide margin, that's your opinion and people should respect an opinion.

However, the fight was so close that most of the boxing media had it 114-113 either way.

I had PacMan by a point 114-113, but you are right, PacMan always feels the need for a KO to win convincingly, but should it be taken as "he feels he lost" because he wasn't able to get the knockout?

I can understand how a razor-thin split decision loss of a favorite fighter must feel now, and I would just like to state that it was indeed a close, close fight.
