To the truth none from other prospects has done much more and is deserving a shot.
From more proven boxers almost everybody beside Povetkin had his chance already ...
as Povetkin he just counted himsef out from the competition so I doubt
that anybody should have problem with Wach being undeserved challenger.
Having 27-0 record, impressive KO over Mcbride and Fields is just enough these days.

True, he's marginally better than either Thompson or Mormeck, but that isn't really saying much is it? All three of Wlad's opponents have been very disappointing this year, though I realise that isn't entirely his fault.

I made a thread without seeing yours. Exactly. People mention size. I am not sure if anyone on this thread yet has mentioned McCline. he was 6-6 and 263 and with the same reach as Wach. Vlad knocked him down. stopped him.

totally different fight.. Haye is much better but smaller. Wach will get hit clean and be stopped early enough. 2-5 rounds.

So he will do BETTER than haye?
Well then he will either have to......
    1.beat wlad
    2.draw with wlad
    3.lose by majority or split
You know and I know.....That is NOT going to happen!
Heres a bet, if wach acheive's ANY of the above three I will put a picture of ANY polish fighter up in my avi...for three month's.....If he does not?....Your so confident he will do better than haye!....That when he gets beat easily...you put a pic of haye up in you're avi for 3 months:thumbsup
Put you're money where you're mouth is child!
    Because after tonight.....POLAND will still have ONLY 3.......in a 1/4 century:hi:

Well, with Thompson there was some intrigue cause
    1) he's southpaw
    2) he gave a good effort the 1st time
    3) he's trained by one of the best and has a top promoter
    4) ducked by all, even Eddie Chambers
    5) he came late to the game so there was the possibility he would improve from the 1st fight

All these factors were enough to make people like Dwyer believe Thompson had a legit shot. And at the time, there was nobody better for Wlad to fight. Povetkin or Arreola would have been preferable for the fans but in actuality these guys had/have even less of a chance of beating Wlad than Thompson.

As for Momeck, he had some speed as a cruiser, but he sucks at heavyweight, and had to win his eliminators via robbery....so fighting JMM was even worse then the Wach fight.

The only thing intriuging about Wach is his youth and size and power. But all this will be easily negated by Wlad's speed. I think Wlad could hurt Wach in the first and take him out soon after. But perhaps Wlad will play it safe and wait for Wach to tire.

Wlald can't take a punch and Wach can punch. Also Wach is not scared of WLad. Wlad is going down thank god.

I think everyone understands and appreciates that. However, remaining unbeaten in 27 fights against relative nobodies and having stoppage wins over an ancient sloth like McBride and a freak show in Fields are hardly anything to shout about. Also, it's hardly ideal prep for Wlad. Actually, there are people who do have a problem with Wach getting this shot - just look at the reaction on this forum when this fight was announced. Maybe it's a sign of the division and a sign of just how dominating Wlad has been.

It will be a typical one sided Klitschko dominated albeit measured performance against an opponent who is out of his depth.

Wach may come to be way below Wladimir's class, we don't know... At least with Corrie Sanders, we knew he had a hell of a left hand... Wach is a complete stranger and if I was Wladimir I would put a lot of pressure early on to break him down later. Wladimir is seasoned enough by now to win inside 12 without taking many risks.
