Wach was tough but had no skill and is basically just a big walking heavy bag. Wlad was quite unimpressive, regardless of wach having a good chin he still should have finished him off considering wach had no defence and was offering very little return fire. Also, why is everyone going overboard calling wach a "warrior" for doing nothing but take punches. If I was at war in medieval times, I wouldn't want wach fighting for me because all he'd do is stand there and get stabbed
Wlad fights the way he always does. If you hate it, fine. Don't watch. I'm fine with it. Most of the time his right hand takes people out. Every now and then he runs into a guy like Wach and in that case you just have to admire the man's iron chin. Obviously we'd like to see Wlad mix his attack up more but the fact that he lets his opponent stay in the fight gives the guy a chance to land something big which can end the fight within seconds. That's why every moment is interesting because even though Wlad is dominating, his flaws can lead to a quick downfall.
Wlad was the most aggressive I have seen in a while, he really went all out for the knock out in rounds 7-8.
absolute garbage.did anyone listen to tim witherspoon after the fight? he was very critical of wlad as a champion.as for the fight wlad was blowing out of his arsehole after he made his only serious attempt to stop wach.if david haye would have had the balls he could have knocked wlad out no doubt.as soon as price and fury are ready wlad will be finished.these guys aint eastern european tomato cans they are hungry and will come to fight.
It was the most entertaining Wlad fight in a while. Make of that what you will. I personally didn't think it was a complete waste of time, and I was expecting it to be awful.
I agree. I like watching Vitklit more, simply because he tries to be more aggressive. But today's display was in no way dull. Objectively, it was a good Performance from Waldo. Wach came to win and not just for the paycheck. Judging that a poor fight is sheer ignorance. Would like to see Wach in there with other contenders in the future, seeing how he stacks up for example against guys like Pulev or Fury.
Why does not knocking a guy out = a terrible performance? Completely one-sided beat downs don't count in your assessment? Especially when we're dealing with a guy with an insane chin. Not to mention there would have been many refs out there who would have stopped the fight in that one round Wach was getting destroyed on the ropes for a good minute. Idiots.
Already agreed in another thread that Haye would have gotten Wach out of there. He simply commits more to his offence. But don't let the Haye hype into your head. He also lost onesided to Waldo, regardless of a hypothetical matchup against Wach
I think that the majority who consider Wladimir to be #1 above Vitali need to have their heads checked. That fight was disgraceful considering it was dedicated to Manny Steward. Vitali would have had Wach out of there mainly because after landing a couple of big punches he doesn't go and hold his opponent for no reason..
People were saying that about chisora until David Haye blasted him out. I think wach has been good chin but I'm not going to declare him the next chuvalo just yet
