After watching todays fight with Wach, although I was true with my prediction UD, you can see in my other thread where i wrote prediction won $250. After watching, I don't think guys like Price or Fury will have any chance, Wach took hell of a beating, great chin. Wlad is just too fast for any heavyweight, he hits hard, he can get out of the way quiet easily when his opponent throws punches. We saw Haye trying to throw but missing, Wach missing, I think Price, Fury, Povetkin, if in there will feel the sting of the jab and they wont be able to land. they will get stuck just like all opponents Wlad faces. I'm not criticizing Wlad, he really impressed me tonight, i think definitely a ATG, he would cause any of the great heavy weights problems. So how do you beat a fighter like this, Wach had heart, he went for it, giving 100%. So how do you beat a fighter like this? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH-bVCnS2j0[/ame]
what tactics would you employ? I think the way Lewis fought Vitali is the way, but you need skill also, really brawl him, but its difficult to brawl with wlad. He can be cut, he did have a cut in this fight, and when hit can be shaken, but its so difficult to follow through. Anyway, great respect for Wlad taking it to Wach, he has all the skills, extremely fast. Great fighter. But how do you beat a guy, seemingly so invincible

If you want a serious answer you basically already answered it, do what Lennox did to vitali, and there's no but, that's it Problem is the "contenders" today are ****. Wach was no better than primo carnera
Wladimir looked real bad against someone who is still learning how to box. It is obvious that once someone with same size and some boxing abilities steps in the ring with him, he'll be in trouble. Wach made Wladimir look bad and almost knocked him out. Imagine what specimens like Fury/Price would do to him if they were given the chance...
To beat Wlad, you must have similar qualities to him. Great boxing ability Power Size So far only Lennox and his brother TRULY fill out all these qualifications. One is long gone, the other is kin. Guys like Fury and Price may have the size and power, but I doubt they'd ever have the skill level close to where Wlad is.
The sound that punch made on Wlad his chin at the end of round 5 was very loud. Though Wlad didn't go down. Wach is now a certain top 5 ATG hw chin. Makes a good case for being the GOAT chin now. Though chin itself is pretty useless, getting hit don't make you win rounds.
All you have to do is be extremely fast, hit like a mule, chin of granite, great boxing skills, great footwork and technique, amazing defense, great jab, excellent counter puncher, great stamina with a very high ring IQ.
Wlad will beat most heavyweights in history because of his footwork, size, power, precision and speed. If you want to beat Wlad, you have to force the pace, and either break down his body or catch him with a big shot. Wlad doesn't go to the body. I don't understand why he didn't go to the body against Wach. If Wach was a better fighter, Wlad could have paid for this in the later rounds. Wach clearly was out of his league and lacked the conditioning to contend, but I could see where Wlad could get into a fight where he would unload his best shots, and not knock his opponent out, and then get knocked out as a consequence. Foreman, and Vitali would fit in that category. Tyson would beat him, and Dempsey would have a great chance because they would force the pace and get in close, and eventually something would land over the top. With that said, I think Wlad is a great champion, but he could be greater if he would add a body attack. At some point in his career, he's going to get old and he's going to pay for not going to his opponent's body.
That's not all true. I think Foreman would beat him by taking his shots, and walking him down and stopping him.
