Mares: Wins over Darchiniyan, Agbeko (X2), Morel, and Moreno

Donaire: Wins over Syodrenko, Montiel, Narvaez, Vazquez Jr, Mathebula, and Nishioka.

In comparing common opponents, Donaire already has an edge. He pancaked Vic in 5 and Mares struggled in a close fight.

Mares also has wins that that are questionable like the first Agbeko fight and just today with Moreno.

On the other hand, Donaire has racked clean victories over Montiel, Sydorenko, Tyson Marquez, Vazquez jr and Mathebula. Plus he stopped the percieved best of the division in Nishioka.

I don't even know how this is in discussion.

It's inarguable that Donaire has the better career resume, but the question is who's been doing the better work recently.

You can't even see the picture clearly can you.

In fact I have answered your question: who had a better resume in the last two years.

In the last 2 years Donaire fought more, 7 times to be exact and all has or have had a title one way or another and Donaire got through 7-0, 4 KO's.

While Mares had less and barely scraped a win in some of his.

And it's not even a quantity versus quality. Because Donaire's quantity has quality in it.

You seem to be the one with vision problems since you were citing wins outside of the two year period and somehow have Donaire fighting 7 times.

donaire by a hair. imo, montiel and nishioka edges it for donaire but i have no problem if people would have mares' resume better in the last 2 years.

So how do you do your math?

Last 2 years meaning 2011 and 2012? Because you added the Sydorenko wins which was in 2010 which belongs in another year. That alone is questionable. Or you mean 2010-2012? Which is it?

Unless you have another computation or another breakthrough research in arithmetic then shed some light on us.

If it is since 2010 then you should count Marquez and Manuel Vargas win as well for a total of 7.

The last two years means the last 730 days genius.

Yeah right, a new way of looking at things.

So you just randomly pick it up from where you like it.

"Let's count back 730 days since' Mares last fight"

If that's the case then by counting back November 10, 2012, we will end up at November 11, 2010, which still should not count the Sydorenko fight as it happened October 12 2010.

So tell me, how do you do your math?

    Mares....

He beat not just one but several of the who's who in the division. Agbeko, Darchinyan and Perez at 118.

At 122, Mares beat Moreno. Donaire is not far behind but Mares has the better wins and harder fights.

Clearly Mares had the path with more resistance.

:patsch:patsch:patsch The Sydorenko fight happened on December 4 2010. And "the last two years" has an obvious and non-arbitrary meaning that only you appear to have struggled with.

Oh so now it's non-arbitrary after trying to go smart on me and giving an exact definite on what two years should be.

You just contradict yourself on here.

And just to get this over with, I already gave my opinion.

Donaire fought more and beat most, if not all in very concise manner.

Glad to hear you agree you had no idea what you were talking about when you cited the wrong date for Sydorenko fight and are unable to interpret the simple phrase "in the last two year."
