It appears what I was told was correct. This Friday night on Fox Sports 3 the whole card from Singapore will be televised live from 10.30 EST/7.30 WST! Great news for all boxing fans headlined with Chris John vs the tough Thai. Yordan vs Choi should be a quality matchup also.
Good stuff. Hope I can stay awake for it. This isn't another Stanyslav Merdov,Shoji Kimura type of opponent is it?
The Thai Piriyapinyo has been a longtime contender beating the who's who of fringe contenders from all across Asia. I favour John by decision but i guess time will tell.
..WOW!!!!..the first time I've seen John fight!!! ..and all I can say is what the **** is wrong with boxing..or should i say..the marketing of boxing in this country...hang your heads in same you kunts!!! ..Chris John has got it all..the complete package..all the skills..all heart..a total warrior..not to mention accolades such as WBA fighter of the decade..duh!!! ..why the **** is this bloke not a household name in Australia?..and he speaks good english too FFS!! ..and we wonder why MMA is stealing a march on us...****..makes we wild..:-( ..anyway..on a positive note..what a great fight..boxing at it's very best..and the Thai..Piriyapinyo..well no suprises there..just the typical never say die Thai..and lived up to what the Colonel was saying about him.."the best featherweight out there never to win a title"..
Nobody doubts CJ'S skills his opponent choices have been criticized by many. Though this mornings opponent was good he's hardly high profile.
You missed out on 2 good fights. Jordan v the Mongolian was great. Hopefully they replay the 2 Main events. The U/C wasn't great.
..haha..I did last night too..although half cut and jet lagged from flyin' for 23 hours..:nut ..but caught this mornin's replay..and mighty impresses with John..just so dissapointed to have missed out on half his career..:blood
The undercard up until the main 2 bouts wasnt good at all. Yordan vs Choi was terrific as i had expected. John continues his march, i wonder who's next.
..cheers mate..thanks for the tip..will check that fight out.. ..yeah mate...a cryin' shame..I can understand if he was a pitty pat...on the backfoot boxer always playin' it safe and the media shied away from him but the guy is a deadset walk 'em down banger..tryin' to cripple 'em with bodyshots.. ..and the world scene is one thing..but what about the total snub from the Austalian media..can't ****en figure 'em out..useless pricks...can't see the timber for trees..:blood
They were two great fights last night. I kind of jokingly predicted a Harding Andries final rounds and well maybe if the round was a minute longer we might have got it. Chonlatarn gave it a red hot go despite being outmatched. That was a much better showing than the last John fight I saw where he couldn't quite get his timing right against Juarez.
Chris needs to fight out of his comfort zone and look to unify some belts. This guy has been a champ for so long but seems content to stick with the one organisation rather than create a legend.
