Hard Knocks Promotions: What's Happening?

    I don't have Sky anymore so obviously i don't have Premier Sports. I've heard nothing and seen nothing on here about any shows and TBH kinda forgot about the Hard Knocks Promotions.

    It was a 6 show deal IIRC with Premier Sport, I went to the York Hall show in October of last year. I remember them having one more show since with Choi sparking the French lad but since then nothing.

    I notice Spencer has his lads like Graham fighting on other shows, Larry chucked into PF and Choi finally stepping up in opposition to only fight for the IBO title. Hamilton obviously has to fight Steve Williams for the British title.

    I loved the idea of Hard Knocks but it seems to of gone stale. Just wondering if the deal is still in place?. It's a long time between shows and with these guys fighting in tough fights elsewhere it's hard to see them fighting anytime soon on a show for Fearon.

    I forgot about them too. At least Choi's stepping it up to fringe world level, i beleive if he had a good pormoter a few years back he could have been in some classics!

    Looking like Spencer's just throwing his boys into some decent fights where possible, i'd hate to think his shows arent profitable as they are always class.

    All I said was that he seems slightly mad.... some of the stuff he comes out with and posts on his FB give that impression.

    Multi-millionaire.... what's he dabbled in?

    I suppose if you had loose cash at the right time you'd have been able to make a few quid on the London property market.

    I think Spencer is a wind up merchant BB. He likes saying contreversial stuff to agitate people and spark debate.

    He's defo not all there, but he's done well for himself just a shame this hasn't picked up like it could of.

    I deleted him off my fb when i saw he posted a picture of Jesus as the devil.

    I know he's got a financial backer, I didn't know he's a millionaire in his own right but good on him if he is..

    I don't think the quality was there for Tv, maybe Premier have pulled the plug, shame because to get Tv in place they had some quality shows in the first place, but on the first Tv show, the main event was an area title and Choi's opponent pulled out, leaving him with some novice with hardly any wins, the second show was not that much better, but at least Choi had a better test, Fearen needed to get a major title on the show and more 50/50 fights but could not do that, shame really, we need more Tv shows.

    A couple of years ago when Spencer was shouting about 50/50 fights for the fans Choi riding the crest of a wave it seemed like he potentially had something going. That said as other have mentioned it has gone stale.

    I think the void that Spencer was trying to fill has no been filled by Dave Coldwell maybe even Goodwin promotions. Both have similar rescources to Spencer so I dont see why he hasnt done the same.
