Pacquio's LMW title is just as legit as Alvarez's

    Who's Alvarez beat? Matthew Hatton catch weight, Ryan Rhodes, Alfonzo Gomez, Kermit Cintron, Shane Mosely and Joseto Lopez.

    Basically only 2 guys who were world class and both were shot yet somehow idiot fans who know **** all about boxing on here think he's great coz he was given a belt. He isn't better than Lara, Vanes, Cotto Bundridge, Trout, Kirkland or Molina is as far as I'm concerned.
    Don't get me wrong, great boxer for his age but come on, no where near world champ.

    no he didn't. He won it at a 150 catch weight which he didn't bother making against matthew hatton of all people.

    Pac is already an established ATG fighter who has had his time to prove his greatness.

    But IF you want to compare them @22/23 years of age i'd say you are dead wrong. ;)

    (IF he gets his ass beat or beats some ass he delivered)

    both are some of the most shamefull acts done by a belt organization. At least Canelo defends the belt and is about to defend it against or unify with Cotto/Floyd/Sergio

    A total exaggeration here.

    Canelo hasn't done a lot, but he's a 154 fighter, and he's only young.

    Manny's fight with Marg was a complete joke, and should never have been sanctioned.

    He'll go down in history as an eight time weight world champ, which in my opinion, is a complete joke, and I'm a fan of Manny's.

    How can you be considered a 154 champion, fighting for a vacant belt at 150?

    He won the belt, and had absolutely no intention of defending it. That's not an achievement in my opinion.

    He should never be classed as a 8 weight world champ.

    Yes and no

    Canelos was a vacant, but Canelo actually fights and defends at 154

    Pacs wasn't even at 154, and he hasn't made an attempt to fight at the weight to defend it

    Floyd is the #1 at 154 and imo he beat the previous #1
