and a huge majority of MMA guys, the low kick is the most under used weapon in MMA and especially any of high standard, Chuck Liddell's lead leg was going to jelly after only around 2 - 3 leg kicks from Shogun, who's one of the only guys whos muay thai in mma that i rate

100% correct and the bits I highlighted say it succinctly - that was as **** poor a leg kick as I have ever seen. Hit Cung in the arse and no roll over in the hip at all.

Don't forget that Rich Franklin was always a self taught striker - so he was bound to make a mistake that Cung could capitalize on. It will happen every time they fight. Franklin's sole chance at victory was to somehow put Cung on his back, pass his guard and submit him or punch him out.

San Shou wins the day. It was just a right hook - but like Bruce Lee said, "there is really only one way of fighting as we all have two arms and two legs, but without styles - what is there to teach?"

Yes. That's how Rich Franklin started. That's why his form has always been shitty. He's just managed to overcome his deficiencies by focusing on his strengths.
