imagine a hybrid between these two : vitali's best attributes+ wladimir's best attributes . against lennox lewis

    vitali's chin
    wlad's footwork
    vitali's reflexes
    wlad's one punch KO power
    vitali's counter punching
    wlad's jab
    vitali's toughness
    wlad's boxing fundamentals

    so who takes it ?

    Lewis, /thread

No Klitschko or any prime klitschko, mixture of klitschko, fusions can beat Lewis. Get over it.

Vitali's chin and toughness are counteracted by his paper skin against ATGs. The hands can't hit what the vagina-esque eye can't see.

Wlad's footwoork looks great against immobile bums but strangely he couldn't catch Haye, despite Wlad's fanboys telling us Haye's agility wouldn't matter.

Vitali's reflexes didn't prevent him getting his face amputated by a fat Lewis.

Wlad doesn't have one punch KO power, he rarely knocks out anyone without grinding them down first. This will be proven when someone KTFO of Wach.

Wlad has a great jab but Lewis' was just as good and knew how to follow it up aggressively.

Wlad has great fundamentals but not much more. Lewis could bring a number of styles to a fight, Wlad only has one and Lewis would punish him heavily in clinches and rough him up some. Lewis would tag him eventually and Wlad would eat a succession of upper-cuts when he goes into auto-clinch mode.

This is why I love the boxing threads. Seriously. I love the passion fans have. We are now talking about "hybrids" as if Wlad/Vitali is like combing a vampire and werewolf. Nice.

My vote....I think I talk the hybrid but barely.

I think Lewis beats either 1:1, but the combo of Wlad's style and athleticism with Vitali's post Chris Byrd toughness makes the hybrid a slight favorite.

thanks again for a fun thread!

not a big klitshcko fan , but i just love this aura of invicibility that lewis fans give him . the guy was KTFO'D by rahmam for ****'s sake , ko'd by the great oliver mccal ( who lost to bruno , douglas , tucker and just about any credible fighter he ever fought ... ) and got away with a razor close decision against mercer .

any fighter with a pulse could've cracked that british glass in a good night .

So what? Every fighter has an off-night or a moment of misjudgement, even the Sugar Ray Robinsons of the world. If we're talking about losses, neither of Lewis' come close to Purrity. Besides, Lewis proved his losses were flukes by avenging them emphatically.

Not to get off topic, but Ray Robinson didn't really have any off nights. LaMotta ring tapped that ass once, but then he didn't lose again until he was well past any normal man's prime.

Lewis had a multiple off nights.

At his best though, he competes and probably is a pick'em against any other heavyweight. I just think that this hybrid pulls out a close decision.

see, you didn't get how the hybrid will work :

0- the hybrid will have wlad's skin .
1-haye was fast even by cruiserweight standards , pretty logical that wlad had trouble catching him .
2- the hybrid will have vitali's reflexes + wlad's better defense , thus preventing vagina face
3- wlad's one punch power is better than vitali's ( despite the ratio ) and lennox's chin isn't exactly the best
4- vitali is more agressive than wlad , so wlad's jab will be followed by vitali's aggressiveness
5 - the hybrid won't go to clinch mode

Ah, in that case I believe my position can be summed up by a simple TKO6.
