I can only try to imagine the love affair Bunce would have with Wlad if he was British. My God he'd be drooling all over Waldo.

    Of course he would.

One thing I learned here is that nationality is extremely important to a lot of boxfans and certaily to Brits.
When visiting a boxing match, for them it's like visiting a football match... Great Britain shall prevail!

And this national pride seems to be even more present when it comes to their heavyweights. Can you imagine how they would view Fury if he was from Poland or Romanian or something? And all the **** they put up with from Haye?! :!:

I don't care about nationality myself. But that may have something to do with my country having zero boxers to speak of.

I guess topping Champions League matches in TV ratings equals not offering anything in terms of public appeal in Faerunland :patsch

Wlad is an ATG. Yes, he would be viewed differently if he was another nationality.

The most obvious and simple answer would be yes.

But then again look at Amir Khan, Olympic hero, highly touted as a prospect yet the fans turned against him. The early losses Wlad had, which were rather embarrassing and his later boring style may have turned the British fans off him.

This thread is along similar lines to the TS's complete failure of an Andre Ward thread, asking why brits dislike Ward. I think 1 out of 20 brits said they didnt like him. Keep plugging away though, sad tw*t.

lol, I got it easy being Dutch, I never have a bias.
We got nothing noteworthy, except some glass jawed kickboxer and Bas Rutten. But they aren't boxers.

If he were black, this entire board would consider him the best boxer of all time in any weight class.
