Anyone else genuinly scared for Hatton?

    We don't really know what his chin will be like until he takes a full shot in the ring as we've not been present in his sparring sessions. A lot of punch resistance comes down to your conditioning though and it's hard to see how Hatton's will have improved. If he was adaptable and could box to a game plan without taking too much punishment then you might say he could get away with it but he is a come forward pressure fighter that takes a few to land his own and that doesn't bode well for his come back.

    I had a dream the other night that he got knocked out in the first round by an uppercut and everyone was saying how it was always going to happen why did he return etc. Got a horrible feeling it might happen.

    I'm not worried for his health or anything, but the way he has been talking (anyone see Boxing Monthly?) I am worried for his mentalhealth if he gets beat.

    That's what I am saying (albeit in a confusing way)... The ring-rust will be used as the reason for him looking bad, whilst there may be an element of truth in it, I hope he doesn't overlook the fact that he may actually have nothing left.

    That said, he will probably come out, look amazing and make us all look stupid.

    He's going in with a different mental attitude this time though. He was saying "put the house on me" for his last fight.....this time it's "if I win". Suppose he's just being realistic and not getting carried away again

    He should be fine in this fight, whoever he fights after this I'm not so sure. Paulie will beat him easily if they meet next year IMO

    I wonder if Brook and Khan genuinely want to fight him if they are really on Ricky's radar.

    Can't imagine it would do either of their popularity any good for being the guy to beat up a "national treasure"...

    He should of stayed retired.

    Never really had much interest watching him in his prime.

    He's just being greedy now. He's doing it for the people yet again, putting it on prime time.

    Shoulda just been real and and flung it to Channel 5 or not come out with that rubbish his whole career.

    Hope he gets sparked out.

    This is a bit harsh. It was bad enough seeing him getting sparked by Manny PAC, the last thing he need is for it to happen again.

    Going to Primetime was pretty lame, but he doesn't deserve to be knocked unconscious for it.

    Nice to see posters giving respect to Hatton for his choice of comeback opponent. I'd say most of us never gave Paulie a chance against Shevchenko. What if Shevchenko just had a bad night against Paulie? There's every chance Hatton gets beat, hope to Christ it's not a beating.

    If Hatton wins after all this time out it's a big achievement. Hopefully he retires without another fight. No chance of course, even if he gets knocked out he'll say he should have had an easier opponent, he'll carry on.
