Anyone else genuinly scared for Hatton?

I'm worried about this BUT on the other hand what condition was he in against Pac?

He had a god awful / non existent camp, his poor lifestyle choices probably already established

There's a chance, a slim one mind you, he'll be in better shape than for his last few fights

 

He should definitely be in better shape this time. He peaked early for the PAC fight, surely no danger of that happening again this time!

 

as much as it'll get you called a "bias brit" for saying it, Hatton was badly overtrained for the Pac fight, he looked the definition of a weight drained fighter on the scales, and Mayweather Sr was just there for the paycheque, it was a disaster all round.

That's been overplayed in all honesty, yeah he was a bit buzzed, and there were shenanigans by the ref (not hattons fault) but I think he would have just grabbed on and rode it out

 

The Lee Beard vs Mayweather Snr training battle didn't help Hatton either.

 

Bit harsh. I think it's there's a very good chance Paulie would box his head off at this stage, seeing as though none of us have a clue what sort of shape Hattons mind or body will be in.

 

You said Paulie would beat Hatton easily and have nothing to base that on. If you're going to have a strong opinion, don't start crying when someone calls you out on it especially when it's a baseless opinion. It's what a forum is about.

Did I say Hatton was the same fighter as four years ago? No. Obviously, it would be foolish to think he wouldn't have declined. However, I did say that I don't think him declining would be anything Malignaggi could capitalise on. You didn't answer my question as to what Paulie can do now that would beat an older Hatton? Hatton's win was so comprehensive last time that it's crazy to think Paulie would now be able to beat him "easily", especially when he hasn't shown any great improvement himself. That's why I said you were clueless

 

Same response as to the other fella. The fact we have no knowledge of what Hatton is like makes it more logical to think Hatton would beat Paulie, given what we've already seen when they've fought. There's no basis at all to say Malignaggi would box his head off, he hasn't greatly improved since then and there's nothing to say Hatton is a shadow of that fighter who destroyed Malignaggi

 

next Saturday night just get a crate of beer and lay a few bets on, sit back and hope to god Hatton looks good and gets the win.

I for one haven't a clue as to how this is going to pan out. Hatton is not that effective at 147 as he was at 140 and that was a few years back.Senchenko did get stopped by Malignaggi (i think) so i wonder how many body shots from the hitman he can cope with.

Hatton by a rusty and somewhat shaky UD would be my prediction if i had to make one. Good luck to the hitman.

 

Considering he's still got two arms and legs I don't see there being much chance of Paulie "boxing his head off"

I don't think people realise what Paulie's weaknesses are, there is some perception of him being a highly skilled, master boxer just with no power.

I know exactly what kind of boxer Paulie is and i know Hatton even past prime as he was held all the aces and beat him handily. Im talking about whats happened since then, starting with everything going wrong almost as soon as they fought. Brutally knocked out in embarrassing fashion, drug problems, woman problems, thoughts of suicide, ballooning up and down in weight plus a 3 year lay off. All whilst Paulies been nicely ticking along and picking up a title. I understand what you're saing but to call someone ****ing clueless on the back of them doubting Hatton has it anymore is arrogant and foolish.

 

He has chosen a good opponent to show if he has anything left. If he doesn't I don't expect this guy to bust him up and really hurt him.

I don't buy into this "over training" line that Hatton came out with after wards. How do you over train exactly? You spar more rounds, you get sharper, you do more road work, you get fitter!

He simply fought like an idiot and thought he'd be able to bully Pacman and that he would just steam through him, naive to the point of stupidity and in my opinion very little to do with over training. Floyd Sr may have been a bad decision but who can Hatton blame for that but himself?

I sound like I hate Ricky Hatton but I don't at all and I want him to win badly but it all seems a really really bad idea. He is doing this for some kind of redemption in his own eyes after losing in such brutal fashion but if he still had the desire and the ability why wasn't be back in the ring 2 years ago?
