I doubt Rubio would turn down a world title fight to "avoid" Golovkin, he's a warrior. Shame, would have been a good fight that. Rubio has fought Pavlik and Chavez Jr, so it would have been a good comparison fight for Golovkin.
Molina was 170 pounds pounds on fight night against Kirkland. Obviously he doesn't have the body of a middleweight, but he's way past welterweight now. 170 is big even for jr middleweight.
