Is Vitaly Underated

I think his skills are underrated, he is skillwise better than Wladimir. You can't blame a guy for trusting in his chin, rather than playing it safe.

 

Vitali cherrypicks his oposition, never takes on the best heavyweights in the division like his brother Wlad. If he goes out with his last fight being that pathetic fight against manuel charr, his legacy will remain a mystery.

 

No fighter in history would have an easy time with Vitali - when posters say someone would destroy him, he is being under rated.

But when posters come on claiming he was unbeatable refusing to acknowledge the result of the Lewis fight etc - he is over rated

Unfortunately sharing the era with his brother will dilute both Klitschkos legacies - Unfortunate for it is what it is

I think he is right up there with the rate, most people have him within their top 15-20 ATG.
With his KO and h2h the rating may be top 10 but Vitaly lack big caliber wins, he lost
the only big fight he had ... doesn't matter that on cuts but he lost to the only other ATG
he faced and nothing is going to change that. His frequent injuries are not helping him either.

If you think H2H comparison then he is going to lose against his 'current' brother so if they
were fighting withing the last 3-4 years Vitaly would not be a champion at the age of 41 anymore.

... so top 15-20 ATG is right with him which is not bad at all.

If he keep going for another 2-3 years winning like another 5-6 fights then he may
jump into the top 10-15 spot range without being overrated.

I rank Wlad higher than Vitali, but some rate Vitali higher so depending who you think is better they replace each others spot.

When compared to his younger brother I believe Vitali is overrated a lot.

 

Vitali would have beaten any of Wlad's opponents, maybe even more convincingly. like he's already done with Wlad's destroyers a couple times, and he would have beaten Wlad.

Vitali had to retire because of his injuries, once he returned his lil bro was the champ and he couldn't do anything about it

Had Vitali not retired, he would have captured all those belts before Wlad did and he'd be the main man, instead of his glass canon brother who has been dropped countless times in his career

 

I rank Vitali ahead of Lewis merely because of Lewis' suspect chin, it's been proved that even a bum could upset him. However, I have no problem if people rank Lewis as the H2H GOAT. It's either him or Vitali anyway.
