No, but maybe you could watch the dominant champions. I think that's the least you could do. Why would you want someone to explain it to you rather than watching the fights and coming to your own conclusions?

You say you know a lot, but you think that having your legs up high on your opponent while in guard is the same as almost getting a triangle. Condit was not even close at all to any triangles. GSP is far too savvy to let that happen. And you can't compare GSP's sub defence to that of Sonnen's. That's just absurd.

Well when you phrase it like that then I agree.

UFC deletes all of the fights that go up on youtube. I've tried catching up with Jones, but honestly, video of him is hard to come by.

I want you to explain and break him down because it could make for a good discussion.

And yes, if a guy on Condit's level was able to drop GPS with such an embarrassing level of skill compared to Silva, and was also able to get in position to apply a triangle, GPS would be in deep **** with Silva.

GPS is a excellent MMA fighter. But he regularly taps out to top BJJ guys when he is training in Montreal. (and yes, I know BJJ rolling with a gi is radically different than vale tudo)

Anderson isn't a top BJJ guy. Top BJJ guys would tap Anderson, too. He has a very serviceable guard, yes, but I wouldn't rate his BJJ very high over GSP's. I'd say that GSP's top game is more impressive than Silva's guard. Condit has a very good guard himself, and in reality he had nothing for GSP as far as subs go.

I'm not going to breakdown Jones/Silva, because I have done it tens of times on this forum, and it is a tired hypothetical topic to me. I don't see it as a fight that needs to happen.

BTW, I would give Silva the edge in a GSP/Silva fight, but I don't discredit GSP's strengths and chances.

Find a DVD hire shop that holds good stocks of UFC and milk them hard. That's how I do my catchup on fights I miss :good

Also, Jones' fights are very easy to find on the internet. Maybe not on Youtube, but they are out there. Plus, I know that both the full Shogun fight and the full Rampage fight are on Youtube.

    Except for this one:

    And this one:

So there's two of his title fights, in full, on YouTube.

And here's his pro debut as well.

Could you at least give me a link to the threads so I can approach the discussion without having to ask for backstories?

I've spent the last month talking politics and the US election. Tonight's UFC was a nice way to forget about politics. I really am interested in why many people think Jones poses such a threat to Silva.

What part did you misread that I have only seen a couple of Jones' fights? :patsch

And since you posted readily available full fights of Jones, how about you break it down then?
I invite you to cite examples and instances from the links you posted that explain how Jones beats Silva.

I am very interested and open minded to this Jones fellow.

Gotta love that example of Jones vs Jackson.. LOL

Fight opens with Jones in his crazy Silat squat, and Jones throws jabs!!! Talk about being fundamentally ignorant. Jones' head is low and lined up with Jackson's knee and Jackson throws jabs.. LOL!

...a knee would have been illegal in that scenario.

OK. A knee would have been illegal. Good call on Jones to open a fight that takes away knees. But it doesnt matter. In the opening round it is clear that Jackson isnt qualified to share the ring with Jones.

I'm gonna move on and check out the other links.

    Gosh Haggis McJackass...

Those were godawful examples.... I know you can do better than that to defend your position.
