I thought Billy Dib made it clear he wanted to fight John for a unification. Whatever happened there? It would make a good fight. John's skills would be a difficult task to contend with for Dib but I wouldn't be writing him off so easily.

John will probably be a Hall of Famer for the length of time he has held the belt but I'm not sure he will retire and think to himself "yeah, i fought all comers".

Don't get me wrong, I think he is a great little boxer but I'd really love to see him put it on the line against someone for another belt...doesn't have to be Dib, just any of the belt holders and dispel any doubt over his legacy.

I think John wins this by wide decision or KO if Dib is willing to mix it up.

I reckon Dib would get himself disqualified after losing the majority of the first 6 rounds.

Why dont you give us a rundown about how Chris John should be earning 10's of millions of $$ per fight...better yet give us your rundown about how Francis is your best buddy Angelo DiCarlo.:deal

Agreed. That's what I was trying to explain. I think he is a champion worthy of the praise he receives but the truth is, I find it hard to believe he has ever really taken a big risk with his belt.

Would be a good fight in terms of their very different styles but I don't see it happening. I also imagine a fight like this would cost a fair bit of dough to stage and the profile of both in Australia is just not big enough to cover costs. In Indonesia it may be a different story and possibly in Singapore which is where John has been fighting lately.

..I admit to not followin' him too closely so I didn't know the quality of his opponents as they fought...but lookin' at his record now it's as neat as a pin..wins the title..defends twice a year..steps up a weight division..wins that title..defends twice a year..beautiful..:good

..another thing that sticks out in his record is that he fought competitive matchups early in his career against guys with winning records..abit of a rarity these days..:thumbsup

It is a rarity that there is a tendency to 'pad' a record a little too much and given the number of belts on offer, it is possible to be a world champ but not necessarily the best in the world. I like the featherweight division and a concept similar to the super six could provide a lot of entertainment.

John's record is very impressive but I'd love to see a showdown with the top featherweights up against one another. Seeing the smaller guys go hammer and tong would be more exciting than the predictable stuff we are seeing at the moment. Juan Ma Lopez and Orlando Salido proved how exciting that divison can be. I'd also like to see more of Garcia, Caballero and Gonzales.
