I totally agree, and although indirectly, so does manny, in this quote from www.fightnews.com where it shows the post fight comments, manny says that he thinks he got lucky with the knowckdown, which was the deciding point in giving him the decision. But i still have to say, it was a great fight, and although i think Marquez won, it could have gone either way.

As far as his knockdown of the tough Mexican, Pacquiao smiled and answered, “I think I was lucky because my strategy was to counter punch him and I caught him. He was different and he had a lot of head movement. His jab wasn’t the same from the first fight.”

"Leaving the arena, Pacquiao had missed most of the uproar because he required nine stitches to close a cut near his right eye, and came to the dais late.

"I thought I won fairly because I really had him hurt in more rounds," Pacquiao said.

Would he fight Marquez again? Does he expect a trilogy to be arranged in the not-too-distant future?

"Of course," Pacquiao said, smiling. "I want four fights."

From the LA Times; Doesnt sound like a refusal to me.

I have not seen the fight itself, but I think most of the posters here do not really think it is a robbery and a controversial win for Pac.

They might have JMM winning a hair split decision, but becasue of the sheer closeness of the fight, they think it could have gone to either of the two.

Nah....JMM did very well in a loosing effort against the better fighter. PAC just did more and did more damage. PAC will fight JMM if the money is right but there is no need. PAC has beaten JMM 2 times already and a 3rd fight would end the same way unless PAC KO'd Juan earlier. I'd love to see a 3rd fight! Only b/c both fights have been close, exciting and potential FOTY! But the outcome will be the same.

Thats true......I think fans just want to see anther GREAT fight....JMM and mexican fans are just wishful thinking though. The outcome to a 3rd fight could go in favor of JMM but it's highly unlikely given the way the previous 2 fights went. Both were wins for PAC. The draw was bogus in the first fight.

LOL.....You are delusional Uli. In the 1st fight Juan 7 rounds but with the brutal 1st round that Juan survived that gave PAC the victory.... well "SHOULD HAVE" won him the victory....as we all know Juan got a gift draw,

The 2nd fight PAC won even more convingingly than the 1st time so in reality PAC is 2-0 vs JMM. But a 3rd fight is a great idea for the fans. 3-0 against a GREAT fighter like Juan can only enhance his already stellar career.

Everyone has an opinion....some are valid some are just a waste. In two close fights your opinion is definitley valid but the facts remain PAC won a close fight and deserved the win........he actually deserved 2 wins but got shafted with a bogus draw.

THe difference is the fights you mentioned were CLEAR and EASY Victories for DLH and Whitaker!

THe fights with PAC and JMM are extremely close but a clear winner was awarded the "W". And the right man (PAC) won.
