Looking at Sr's fight with SRL, Broner is more like Sr but with heavier hands. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQCVmXOOfoI[/ame]
Fights more like James toney than either of the Mayweathers [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBj-DLfeaO8[/ame]
James Toney is much slicker than Broner and has better upperbody movement than Mayweather. Broner is more stationary and his combinations are not as inventive but much heavier.
I think offensively Broner is more similar to toney, but he keeps that shoulder and chin tucked in more like the Mayweathers, so it is like a fusion of the two styles. I think if you look at early Toney fights Broner is better defensively with regards to his forearms and elbows blocking and deflection punches, but Toney was better with pure upperbody movement with regard to riding punches, slipping, ducking, and countering. I'm interested to see the style that Broner makes for himself.
Fair assessment. As Broner goes up in weight, I'd expect him be more defensive and use his feet more.
Broner is aggressive as hell. In that regard hes more like roger than floyd jr or sr. an even then nothing like roger
Well with the beating Zelenoff put on a near prime Sr, Broner better stay the **** away from Charlie then.
Mayweather was aggressive just as much as Broner @ 130 and 135. I'm curious to see how aggressive will Broner be when he tries 140 and maybe 147.
his stature, aggressiveness, wide left hook and hooks to the body made me think of Sam Langford. i don't know, just who popped in my head while watching the fight
