I have always been a boxing fan and you could count Ali, SRL, RJJ, even ODLH (with his limitations), Mayweather, and even Hamed (if only he had fought better opposition) as my favorites. For the past 6-7 years, I had been following the career of Pac (since he started boxing at 106-he has always been electrifying even then)

But I have never seen a boxer so resilient as JMM. In the first fight against Pac, he got KDed 3 times in the first round yet he rose up and countered Pac all night. Not many fghters would continue fighting on if they were in that scenario. I remember Solis when he fought Pac and he was always saying to his corner how hard Pac was punching him despite him doing very well in the the fight. That alone he had already lost the battle.

In this second fight, he was rocked so bad in the third round that he actually went to he wrong corner, yet was able to survive and box beautifully.

This is probably a characteristic that would forever imprint to me the difference between the three mexicans. JMM kissing the ring 4 times and then to rise above such adversity. Mab and EM were not able to do that.

    All hail to JMM.

BTW, I had Pac winning by the narrowest of margins as no man actually dominated the other. The KD probably settled the result. Whoever scored the fight 9-3 for JMM is entirely a nuthugger.

the guy never says quit. But then again he has never been seriously overmatched.

    Props on both counts.

Neither fighter seems to know the meaning of quit.

Much better than Barrera and Morales? He is on their level, but not "much better".

JMM must really be very disciplined. He looks trim, before, during and after a fight. He even looks younger than kid bro Rafa. One of the best technicians of today's elite fighters.
