Hatton loses to two sure hall of famers who were both pound for pound #1 at that time and he's a hype job? Ill stick w/the british theme and say audley harrison.
Got to be hamed for me. I dont mind cocky showy fighters if they are infact proven elites doing it against fellow top level opposition
Anyone saying Bute or Hamed DKSAB. Both beat legit opponents before they got hit. This is boxing, **** happens.. but that **** doesn't erase what they did up until that point. As far as hypejobs losing? How about Michael Bennett?
tye fields; mainly because for a while some thought he was a perfect match against wlad. tall big hard puncher with a crazy workrate. and he was a world ranked fighter all he needed was 2 decent wins over anybody in the top 30 (which barrett was). then to be crushed that quickly was pretty astonishing. adrian diaconu, the most feared mandatory in boxing. oh he was going to ko dawson if ONLY dawson would sign the contract....oh jean pascal takes up the challenge fanta..oh he cant box and is slow as ****...oh...oh. james kirkland, a very good fighter and a big puncher with great finishing ability. the way he was put to prison but hbo hyped him up that he was a absolute unstopable monster. but the way he got found out by ishida was amazing to watch. great performance by ishida. jeff lacy, destroyed robin reid who had a claim to have given calzaghe the closest fight in his career, beat ottke up and lost. lacy dealt with him like a pitbull over a 120z steak. good wins over good light contenders as well....then. absolutly leathered for 12 rounds. the u.s. media where completely certain that lacy would of obliterated an old lagging fighter like cazaghe. who was known to go to war. and had been dropped by very undeserving fighters. but great performance by calzaghe if anything else. most even his fans at the time where thinking he had to jab and move and old man the younger more agressive lacy. lacy was always too top heavy. always seemed unbalanced and had his left toe sticking in the air a lot. its a shame really because i think lacy had more to give. once his rotator cuff stopped him being able to drop the left hook it was pretty much over. tough ****er, and hadsome good fights in his career. his one with mendoza is a great fight. jackson chanet, remember when i joined this site there where a few euro fans who thought that chanet might be gearing up to be the best boxer/brawler at 168/174. former heavyweight amatuer slims and trims to super middle. looks an absolute beast. big puncher, great foreward motion, very busy with some good technique and good boxing ability getting brutaly stopped [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OICRnt-5gEU"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OICRnt-5gEU[/ame] for a while the token 'hype job' was mendoza (strange that i already mentioned him with lacy) crushing tokunbo olajide.
