Ruslan Chagaev will face Mike Perez december 1.

Why does Perez have so much hype behind him? I see Chagaev winning an easy UD.

 

i don't see anyone hyping this guy ever.

he's a good boxer puncher and has some decent wins for a prospect. chaggy's been garbage for a while now, he's a shot sick fighter.

 

why would you give chagaev so much credit at this point? hes fat, slow, and he can barley knock out the bums he fights now. took him 7 rounds to beat the last guy he fought who had 18 losses....chagaev was average in his prime and just sucks now

 

Not surprising, sadly. Whenever it seems a good HW fight will happen, it usually ends up falling apart.

Potvetkin has until Dec 12? to sign to fight Wlad by Mar 30 2013? or his title is STRIPPED.

IF, Potvetkin does not sign by the date, this fight with Perez vs Chagaev COULD essentially be for the vacated title.:think

 

Probably postponed until after Potvetkin is signed or stripped for not fighting Wlad.

It would be better for both guys if this fight is made for AFTER the deadline for Potvetkin to rescind his title or sign for Wlad.

This fight would then be for an interim title if Potvetkin signs to fight Wlad, or it will be for the official title(if it can be called that) if Potvetkin vacates/is stripped.:good

 

That would have been such a good fight. A powerful, young prospect against a rugged long-time contender.
