I think they should make the fight next year. With Floyd running out of opponents, Canelo is one of the bigger fights to be made. The reason I say GBP should make the fight is, even if Floyd wins, he will NOT ruin Canelo. At 154 his power is nothing special, hes got good pop but not even enough power to drop Canelo. Money may will likely outbox Canelo, but he wont beat him down. Its not like Tito vs Vargas, wear Titos devastating power ruined Feroz forever. The fight will make a **** load of money, make Canelo a bigger star, & they could do a rematch in a year or two, when Canelo hits his prime & Floyd on the way out. I believe Floyd would win a 8-4, 9-3 type decision, with Canelo having his moments, maybe even hurting Floyd at some point.

I wouldn't complain at all if this matchup was announced. It's actually what I'm expecting come next year.

it is Floyd's fight to accept. Floyd will handpick some other fighter who is ringworn but has a name.

Meh, not a fan. Canelo must beat Cotto or Martinez to be worthy of fighting Mayweather. End of story.

Outside of Manny PAC it's the most lucrative fight availiable for Mayweather.
We know the PAC fight might not ever happen so make the Alvarez fight.

Floyd has the opertunity to hand over the thrown just like Oscar did for him.
    (Do the right thing Floyd...)

I would MUCH rather see Mayweather v Canelo than Mayweather v Pacquiao. I'm tired of hearing about the latter. I actually hope they never fight.

I think Canelo has a real shot of beating Mayweather. He's bigger, stronger, and a lot younger.

You think canelo is good enough or experienced enough at this stage to get the W over floyd? :think

Not sure? But I know Floyd is at the right stage to be taken by a young buck like Alvarez. It's the nature of the sport.

    It's a young mans game.

As would I just for the sake of it actually being competitive. I still wouldn't mind seeing Pacquiao take his Gatti-esque, one sided asswhipping from Floyd, though, and the reactions from his ****** ass fans. :yep

only issue I have with this fight is its strictly a money fight,Canelo has done nothing to deserve a shot at Floyd, guys like Bradley are much more deserving.

As for your post you are completey right, Canelo has nothing to lose. If he loses everyone will say he was suppose to lose, its Floyd. If he wins, well sky is the limit.

No, I don't think Pacquiao will ever get in the ring with him. In the event that he does, yeah, Mayweather seriously ****s him up.
