I sometimes wonder that myself but most of the time I'm too busy looking hunky to worry about anything.
If you dont Box dont bother with these, cheap crap (everlast, lonsdale etc) would be fine for the casual belting that you may dish out, but if you are serious about what you want to do get the best you can afford, at the end of the day good gloves arnt all that expensive, I have read in some posts that some guys buy two pairs of bag gloves a year what the frick for!!!!! you will save in the long run if get the best you can.
im serious about boxing. main reason why i havent gotten good ones yet is because i dont wnt to look like a *** wit nice gloves when everyone else has used old ones or w. e
Umm good point. but as my mother always said "if they cant be nice to you for the things you wear, then tell them the F*^K off". Who really cares if you have got Winning, reyes, grant? or anything else for that matter, one day the good gloves will wear into the dont stuff with me catogary. at the end of the day though dont worry what every one else thinks. I dont care who has what equipment and i'm sure as hell most here would agree. no disrespect intended about not being serious.
its hard to lift weights with boxin gloves u no u cant possibly punch with those skin crackin ginger muscles of yours
if your budget allows and your that heavy of a punch get cleto reye super bag gloves they look mad sexy and sleek and can take heavy punishment
A sexy glove!!! only when worn by a hot chick who just drove to the gym in a ute (pickup)......... the main reason i went for the Grant glove was that it was only 14 oz (large) the medium is 12oz, I thought that the Reyes bag gloves were around 18oz. I dont need the extra oz's any more as I am no longer in competition. just continue to train so I dont turn into one of those ex fighters who when people see me dont say " holy **** he's let himself go" but going from 16's all my life to 14's I cant say I can feel a lot of difference. I have never been a big believer in those 18 - 20 oz bag gloves. do 3 or 4 rounds of shadow with hand weights for a better result. Then put on the Grants and smash the living hell out of it.
Get the best leather gloves you can afford that fit you properly. If they are too big or too small you can injure your hands. Also have a look at the support strip on the inside of the glove. Its the bit that sits inside your fist. I find its important to find a glove with a reasonably think support as it supports your fist better.
