anyone else think he made it a hard fight for himself?

i thought he could have had that guy out of there many times earlier in the fight.

he will need to improve vastly if stepping up imo.

anyone know what his corner were telling him between rounds?

Yeah I agree, I think Will fought well but did it the hard way. He's a good crowd pleasing boxer who comes to fight, but from last nights performance I feel he comes up well and truly short against genuine top line fighter.
I like Will but honestly he's not real World Champion material, not from what I've seen.

he can easily make it to the top with more hard work.

he is only young and there is no need to rush him.

I think Will has potential. He just needs a bit more experience and the right fights. He is not ready for the elite fighters just yet. In saying that, the division he is in is pretty weak at the moment.

He has a crowd pleasing style, but could work on his defense a bit more.

The last couple of fighters he has been in against haven't been to bad IMO...I thought Garcia would be awkward and he gave Will a different kind of fight after two hard nosed mexicans he took on.

A lot better say for instance the cannon fodder they were feeding Skinny Hussein when he was coming up...which left him hopelessly unprepared when he stepped up, even though the talent was there for him to be a real threat.

Time to start looking at fringe contenders...I don't think he will get much better but some more experience couldn't hurt as long as they don't wait to long to step him up..you sometimes gotta have a punt..I'm glad Broner isn't around anymore, that would have been a career destroying beating..Martinez is far more beatable.

His defence and counter punching needs to be worked on. Other than that he did pretty good against a slick evasive opponent imo.

I saw the British 130pound champ Garry Buckland on the undercard of the Hatton fight on the weeknend, he wasn't to bad, how do you guys reckon Will would go against him? I reckon it would be a good close fight...

I wouldn't get over rapt with will his doing great and has improved out of sight but he wouldn't last with the world's best and any real top ten opponent beats him easy

Buckland is not top 10 either, thats why I think it would be a good match up for Will.

    Good matchup Prowler i agree.:good
Both at similar stages of their respective careers with the winner probably moving on to fight a top 10 Super Featherweight.
