Austin Trout's moment of truth is only a week away. Is Trout the genuine article? That question will well and truly be put to the test by Miguel Cotto on December 1.

Gee spider you seem pretty pumped, can't say i'm all that excited although my local is showing it and i'll be in attendance with a schooner in hand :good

Trout has come to our attention mainly because he was twice nearly matched with Mundine. Most of us have since taken an interested in his career and in particular his recent fights. But he's never been tested like Cotto will test him. All the lingering questions and doubts about Trout will be answered Dec 1.

He looked like crap his last fight, but may be one of those guys who fights to the level of opposition?

I must say i haven't been all that impressed with Trout in the 3 fights i have seen... If Cotto isn't shot or physically a lot smaller than Trout, i don't see him getting beat to be honest.

I think Trout will run a bit if he feels Cotto's power early

He didn't look great against Rodriguez or LoPorto, but he still gave both a boxing lesson. He definitely lacks a bit of power. But LoPorto has a granite chin, is very hard to put away, and can make you look ordinary trying to.

His lack of power will probably mean Cotto will have little respect for him and go straight to work.

Hopefully he seems content to just do what is required to win. Hopefully he rises to the challenge against Cotto.

He maybe just starting to slip but he is a good few years away from being close to shot!

Trout is a meh kind of fighter...but he might step it up here.

I'm picking my boy Miguel to turn him into a trout pâté though.

I wouldn't say Cotto is shot and he beats Trout without much trouble.
