Because I lost track of what happened, really.

Roughly three years ago, he gave A-level boxer Froch all he could handle (in Froch's backyard at that) and went on to be the first to lay the blueprint to beat then highly rated Abraham. Also, he is the only one to have dropped him to this day. He is then accused of faking an injury in spite of dominating AA and robbing himself of the glory of having his hand raised at the score card announcement.
He then went on to say that he suffered brain damage which is diagnosed by a dubious Dr. Shaw Hi. Despite alleged brain damage he fights on (almost two years later) and looks quite spectacular in his comeback. Now another year has passed without any word from him.

Dirrell's style can be terrible to look at but let's be honest, talent-wise he's most likely #2 in the division. What the hell happened? Why did he vanish for 21 months after the AA fight? How can Dirrell claim to have suffered brain damage when he never had intentions of quitting the game? You surely wouldn't fight on when you're diagnosed with deteriorating mental capacities, would you? And where has he been the last 12 months? And why would he provoke a DQ win against Abraham when he was tremendously more skilled and could've earned it in the more credible way? In fact, what are the chances he faked it? Abraham was exposed as being awfully limited but his power is real.

This guy is a mystery to me. Ridiculously talented but laughed at because of his weird antics in the ring against AA and his implausible statements soon after.

Firstly I dont think he faked jack **** in the fight against AA. He got hit by one of the hardest punchers p4p in the game when he wasnt expecting a punch.

Now whether he was ever diagnosed with anything is highly dubious. Although I think HE may have been of the opinion that something was wrong. Maybe he was just phychologically shook by the whole experience, because theres no logical reason to just basically not fight for 18 months, when you have a family to support, and when he could have fought 3-4 times and made a couple of million.

    Its a weird one.

Hopefully he comes back and can add some excitement to the division, because Ward dominating is getting old!

I don't know man, he's one of my favourite fighters and I personally consider him undefeated, but, I really don't know

Given his reaction after the cheapshot in the AA fight, he was genuinely hurt, he didn't seem to know where he was or if he'd won and I really don't think he was acting then, it wouldn't have made sense, at one point he seemed to have thought he lost the fight by KO

Afterward who knows what happened, maybe he did sustain some sort of damage, headaches? who knows. Maybe there's something else

It had to be something wrong, you dont come off the back of an impressive performance against an undefeated fighter, and then just not fight for 3 years if there's nothing wrong with you :huh

Maybe he's just mentally weak and the cheap shot traumatisd him, because that Dr. Shaw hi **** was clearly some improv from Andre

I just want him to get back into the ring man he's a fantastic talent

Could have beaten Froch but chose to run, hold and fall down, got hit by Abraham with a dirty punch, looked at the ref and then pretended to be knocked out, great talent but bit of a joke really..

Something's definitley not right with him.

He's wasted so much time that he'll never get back.

    I don't understand it.

Dr Shaw Hii has the answer to this.
