Eddie Hearn has tweeted that he's delighted that they've secure the UK tv rights to Kessler v Magee and that we can watch the fight on Sky Sports. I thought Sky purchased the fights and not matchroom? Did he mean we as in he's part of Sky? The way I have read the tweet it seems to me that Matchroom have bought the TV rights and not Sky.

    Does anyone know?

if the fight is going to be part of a Matchroom show, then Hearn can buy the fight. not sure what fights Sky will show live on the 8th.

Matchroom Sports produce shed loads of Sky Sport's content (poker, snooker, darts, boxing) - they'll buy the rights, manage the production of the show and then sell the package ready made to Sky.

  8. Fishing, ten pin bowling, bowling, pool can be added to that

Barry Hearn once described himself as the king of the 'C' list sports:lol:

To be fair to Barry he's made a mint at them as well. Any man who can make money from televised fishing deserves praise!

This fight is Sauerland I think. Strange as Boxnation have a Sauerland deal.

The fact that Boxnation have not got this show suggests to me that they are in some real trouble now.

As another poster has mentioned they have a deal with Sauerland and they have also shown the last fights of both fighters.

I was sure they would have this one.

I'm a big fan of Boxnation and have never made any secret of it, but must admit that I am becoming increasingly disappointed with their output

Yes they have had shows from America, and they are managing a show a week on average, but where are all the domestic shows?!

We were promised a minimum of one per week.

Its clearly struggling and I'm assuming that a certain individuals alleged money problems may be affecting things further.

Could be the end coming me thinks, what a shame. :-(

it makes sense i suppose if Matchroom are trying to build relations with the goal of putting on Kessler Froch 2

Also getting the Sky audience familiar with Kessler will make the fight an easier sell.
