Penn's a natural born fighter. Seen him in better conditioning down at 55 in his early days.

Penn said he retires after he got beat-up by Diaz
i wonder what hes gonna say now

    stupid logic but :

    Diaz beat penn
    Condit beat Diaz
Rory (who is GSP's protege) Destroys both

    Wait, what?

He didn't destroy Condit, and he never fought Nick Diaz. I'm confused.

    Hence the word stupid

basically i believe tristar gym guys have Penn & condits number
Rory is close to GSP's level i think (even thouh he hasnt been tested as much)
but his 2 rounds against condit make me think Penn is easy since penn got owned by diaz who in his turn got beat by condit

    lol

i think i deserve to get owned myself for my confusing logic
its just the way i see it in my head

Penn has brought Merenovich back, Penn performed at his absolute best when Merenovich was training him in S&C, this isnt a suprise that he's in this type of shape.

Looking at the fight, Penn has better boxing, he has better JJ, MaCdonald is IMO a better wrestler for MMA, he has the size and cardio advantage

With Penn you never know until that bell goes a) what shape he's in and b) where his head is

If Penn is truly on top of his game i expect him to beat MaCdonald, and beat him convincingly, i cant really elaborate on that because Penn is so unpredictable, so ill leave it there until post fight :D

To Flea, Rob, Rek and the other old timers so to speak, does BJ have the best boxing in MMA. Maybe that is another thread all together...

Past and present i would say so. He's the only guy who could make a legitimate cross over into boxing, albeit as a journeyman. BJ has great hands and a dam good chin. Puts his punches together exceptionally well for a guy who started in BJJ.

Beej actually slips and counters with straights. Always has his back foot in the right position too, most guys are pretty square up throwing form the hips...basic stuff in boxing but in MMA it's very rare

BJ wins then GSP loses to Hendricks, BJ beats Hendricks becomes the WW champ and calls out Anderson.

The best part is that BJ actually would take that fight without hesitation.
