It's the right decision. He gave 100% but fell short. How many fighters are that honest about themselves in interviews? Thanks for the great entertainment you gave during your career Ricky. Respect.
Find some prospects to train, keep him in the gym and in shape. Its the laying around that makes him depressed. Insulin spikes and ****. Keep in the gym, and train and keep himself busy he'll be fine
Yeah he needs something to keep occupied, he should stay in the gym, its good to be in shape. concentrate on promoting and banging his wife Dont end up another roy jones, Ricky This content is protected
It was an honest appraisal and thankfully he seems to have ruled out carrying on. He's had a good career and needs to stay active and involved with boxing, just not as a fighter. I wish him well.
Huge credit to Ricky. An honest, accurate and decent appraisal with the right decision at the end. Four world titles and having only 'really' lost to the two best P4P fighters in the world is a record most boxers can only dream of. Watching last night was painful. It was evident from the start it wasn't going to happen and to be fair to Senchenko I think he put in a very good performance and will probably earn a bit of cash on the back of it with his next fight.
He wants to fight miningful fights for big money. He saw what Malinagi did to this guy and knowing that he himself easily beat Malinganghi he thought he would walk through the Russian guy. There is no point in fighting anymore and he knows it.
Very sad i think he should of taken a less of a fight on his comeback got rid of the rust, but to be honest it would of been just delaying the inevitable and to get beaten in a rematch agaist the magic man would of been probably more heart breaking..
Hatton is a true champion, and it was wonderful watching him and his family on 24/7 from here in The States.
dreadful press conference. Not one mention of well done to Senchenko, predictably Hatton waffled on about himself the whole time. Plenty of false modesty. Hatton has not changed and has not learnt any modesty it seems.
Hey Betty after 3 years out he's come back and fought an ex champion in a different weight class and wasn't losing prior to the stoppage. Can Witter boast any of the previous? At least Hatton hasn't been showing himself up in prizefighter tournaments.
