he knew that before. i think money was his motive, unlike his larger career.

fenech, in my opinion, didnt get bashed for money at the end, he was still trying to get his mojo back.....he never did...

I'm pretty sure Fenech vs Nelson III was all about money

perhaps for nelson. fenech was well endowed with property and cash. the packers helped set him up. fenech was trying to win a trifecta...which he effectively drew, but in most opinion he won the first fight, so he believes in his heart of hearts, he could have won the second fight had he known is chin was gone.

in effect he was being a monday morning quarterback, that tricked nelson into a 3rd fight where fenech used different tactics to get the win, but his whole idea was to get it on boxrec..

Utter drivel , Hiw much do you reckon Hatton earnt during his career Sal ? Hatton fought last night because he wanted to be able to look himself in the mirror every morning knowing his ability to compete at the top level doesn't exist in him anymore , he asked the question in an honest fashion and got his answer , good for him I say because there are plenty who will have trouble shaving every morning once their body forces the inevitable regardless of how much cash they either grabbed or didn't grab during their careers . Hattos record now holds losses against , Money May , huge head and now a guy who has lost but once in his career & IMO this comeback loss improves Hattons reputation .

i just think it was a case of too much too soon. he was doing well but with 3 years of ring rust he was always going to struggle late against this calibre of fighter. if he stepped back and took a few tune ups hed more than likely have won this fight.

He would have been just delaying the inevitable rusty .

It's a shame Mick Katsidis didn't get the fight, would have been a good payday and all out war.
