froch seems to me always to had been bitter to brit fighters outside his own stable, and that he generally hates seeing other guys do well mainly down to the lack of recognition and support he gets, but saying that he gets paid for his opinion
Froch was spot on with everything he said. He predicted before the fight that it would be a disaster, because Ricky had lost too much weight, too quickly. Basically said you can't abuse your body like he has and expect to come back and compete.
Carl Froch in telling it like it is shocker, some of you knobheads need to man the the **** up and smell the coffee.
Compare the quotes here http://www.boxingnewsonline.net/view-Article.asp?ArticleID=2057 with "I don't get spectacularly knocked out like some other British fighters who think they are superstars. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/20383598 and http://www.espn.co.uk/boxing/sport/story/159844.html# Bitter much?
What was Froch supposed to say. Tonight I thought Ricky looked fantastic was dominating untl a lucky punch finished him off.
People moan about Sky sports ridiculous bias towards Brit fighters, then as soon as we get some completely fair, non biased opinions from different Channels you're all in tears screaming leave Ricky Hatton alone. Grow some balls ffs.
Carl Froch is absolutely a class act...a true warrior, always at the top of his game, very articulate, extremely sharp...he is quality through and through...probably one of Englands all time greats and a brilliant commentator.. His is one of the few non hyped, truly great fighters to come out of the UK
I actually agree with the thread starter to a degree, their is a fine line between being straight to the point and outright disrespectful, if im honest i think it was crossed. Froch has always been like that so i can kind of understood and can give him the benifit of the doubt, Duke as always in my opinion came across as a complete douche.
he and duke are right. i do think froch is bitter at not getting recognition he deserves but all boxers like him are like that nobody ever brings up how bitter hagler was in the early parts of his career and title reign l
So what? Being popular and good aren't one and the same. A load of awful things are popular, look at Facebook.
