Question For Floyd Fans: Cotto/Williams/Margarito/Mosley = Kahn/Berto/Geurro/Bradley

    Was thinking about this last night....

    There were several interviews around 06/07 when the welterweight division was at a fever pitch and it seemed like all these great guys were out there to fight floyd.

    In several interviews floyd would always say why should I fight fighter "A" when fighter "A" just lost to fighter "B"... all these guys beating up on each other but none of them can beat floyd mayweather.


    As I'm watching guerro **** kick berto... I was thinking if the same applies to the batch of guys @ ww today. It seems like none of the current guys can stay hot for long enough to warrant a chance at floyd...

    Berto Loses to Ortiz
    Ortiz Loses to Josesito (after floyd of course)
    Kahn loses to danny garcia & LP
    Bradley wins controversial vs pacman



    I'm just wondering if floyds point was relevant regarding a bunch of over rated guys losing to one another kind of like what's going on now in the WW division, leaving none of them hot enough for long enough to warrant a shot or was it just an excuse back then to duck cotto/margarito/paull williams



    Right now I personally don't want to see floyd fight any of the current crop of WW guys. Mostly because they all suck and if floyd isn't fighting pac i don't want to see him fight anyone... same goes for pac

    can we assume floyd felt the same about the WW group of cotto/margarito/pw/mosley?

    No more wins on credit for Mayweather.
    He got away with "He'd beat them anyway" during his prime.

    The Sr. Mayweather has to eventually graduate and give up his spot.
    Alvarez, Broner, Guererro, Thurman ect... After him

    yeah but do you even want to see floyd lose vs any of these bums? the most deserving is broner... he's actually fighting top guys....

    broner beating demarco would be like canelo beating sergio or RG beating Tim bradley.... atleast broner is walking the walk that he's talking.... canelo & RG beat josesito & berto and expect a floyd shot.... it shouldn't be that way

    Froid is a coward who's afraid to take challenge dude. I had high hope for Froid during the 07 year but when gave his excuse why he didn't want to fight Cotto and Margarito I'd knew what he was up too. It's so pathetic why he retired in the first place...it was either one of them so he choose the cowardly way out. All I have to say is that Pac had to come up to welterweight and do his dirty work for him.

    Broner has only fought two guys who are in the top five in his division and imo he has only won 50% of those fights. Broner has a long way to go before he proves himself as a P4P superstar.

    He can start by cleaning his division out and beating Burns, Vasquez and Abril and he'll be on his way. People are way to premature in ranking Broner thus far, he has the talent but he does not have the wins yet. let him concentrate on his own division before throwing him in with the upper echelon.

    Broner is a lightweight.

    And the only top class win he has is DeMarco.

    And I can't believe you think that win is in line with someone beating Sergio Martinez or Tim Bradley.

    The WW is still sorting itself out. Khan and Ortiz were never elite or the top of their weight divisions. I mean Khan more so but was still unproven as well as Ortiz. Kell Brook, Jessie Vargas, Danny Garcia, Timothy Bradley, Robert Guerrero and maybe even Josesito Lopez/Amir Khan with his new trainer are the front runners at 147. At least 3 of them will be the men to beat. They all have so much more potential.

    Floyd as always P4P No. 1 in fantasy matchups.

    Floyd fought plenty of guys with loses on there record (Judah ,Oscar,Baldomir,Gatti) so his argument that he didn't have to fight Cotto, Margarito, Mosley or Williams in 07/08 because they all had losses against each other is total BS on Floyd's part.
