    Ingemar Johansson was a bigger draw at the gate than Cassius Clay.

    Robert Nilon had visions of Liston vs. 'INGO' at the Civic Center in
    Baltimore (October or November 1963) as his first choice, with INGO winning.

    Then the 'INGO' vs Liston II in Sweden in May 1964, with Sonny regaining
    the title.

    The Money for a 'third bout'.........crazy.

    And he therefore had no titles to sell to Arum or anyone else.

    Muhammad Ali hadn't even won his title back from Leon Spinks on that date, the rematch was nine days after, on the 15th September - so I think you must have got the dates muddled somewhere.

    the way for the WBA Heavyweight Championship to get going.

    Muhammad Ali was 'playing games again', threatening to defend his WBA Championship
    in Argentina, against Light-Heavyweight Champion - Victor Galindez.

    June 17, 1979 (Muhammad Ali officially vacates the WBA Championhsip)
