Cotto round 5 ko from a bodyshot
Trout is awkward but he doesn't do anythin special to keep Cotto off him

  2. Anyone with a belt and an undefeated record is a threat under these circumstances.

I expect skill level, experience and toughness to overcome this though. And those characteristics accompany Miguel Cotto.

Trout is fast, slick, and he has spent a substantial amount of time in the ring with guys who are a lot bigger and stronger than Cotto. Miguel isn't quite the same fighter he was at 147. I think he's lost a half a step. I'll root for Cotto like I always do, but this ain't no walk in the park.

Against Cotto, Trout will be swimming against the stream.

The fight is in MSG. Even if Trout wins, he'll get robbed.

He has the ability to pull it off but won't get the decision in msg. I think the fight will be closer than a lot of people think it will be.

Trout has a good shot, he's a young, quick, slick southpaw and he's the first legit 154 fighter Cotto has fought. Biggest dude Cotto's fought yet in Trouts natural division....Also Trout will not be at all effected by fighting Cotto in front of Cotto's crowd cause he won his title in Mexico vs Canelos bro in front of a hostile crowd and then defended it in Mexico again in front of a hostile crowd vs Mexican David Lopez. Very good chance of an upset here. Cotto picked a bad choice- high risk low reward- but good on him.

It's feasible that he pulls off an upset in a similar manner to how Bradley did it to Pacquiao. Not to necessarily say a robbery like that one, but by showing higher workrate, more consistency, and having a few moments here and there where he just looks like the better man. Probably unlikely I guess. I do like Trout though. He's not going to make lots of fans with his style, but he may be more talented than Cotto at this point in their respective careers. I just think Cotto knows better what he needs to do to win a fight like this.
