Stiverne vs Austin was the WBC final eliminator... Then Stiverne vs Arreola became the final... then Banks vs Mitchell became the semi eliminator... now Fury vs Johnson is the final eliminator?

We all know rankings mean nothing. Bottom line is this is probably a matchup of the best American heavy against the best British heavy.

 

If they collect money for the "Asia Boxing Council" title, they sure as **** aren't going to pass up a cash grab opportunity for a world title eliminator.

It says after Jonhson lost to Tor hammer he won fight against decent opponent Albert Sosnowski.

So Johson fighting in eliminator or what ever is not that bad.D

 

Wrong. He fought Sosnowski before Hamer. (same day, an hour earlier) He is coming off a loss.

For some reason Prizefighter results never display properly on Boxrec. It always lists the quarters, semis, and finals in reverse chronological order. It's been that way for years. You'd think one of the editor schmucks at Boxrec would bother to fix it by now. :conf

If Fury becomes the mandatory challenger for Vitali I wonder if Haye would return again to fight him. It would give him another big British payday and a possible shot at Vitali. It also wastes more time, with Haye waiting for Vitali to get old(er).

They really have been extending this protection racket in recent years.

If that's the case I wonder why people grumble about fighters being to lowly ranked to deserve an eliminator. It's solely about how much of a sanctioning fee they can skim off a potentially 'lucrative' fight. Anything else is a side issue.

 

From my understanding, as a member of TEAM KINGPIN, is that the Banks-Mitchell & Stiverne-Arreola fights are the top 2 eliminators. Stiverne-Arreola winner faces Banks, but if either Banks or Stiverne-Arreola winner can not fight, then the winner of Fury-Johnson will replace said fighter.

Its technically an eliminator to be ranked #1B in the event the other eliminators' winners (#1A) are unable to perform.
