Yeah was a big KO as well. Turba hasn't fought since August last year which is a shame as he has massive power considering he's a blown up 168 fighter.

Williams was pretty much shut out by Norton, while the fight with McPhilbin was probably only topped by Haskins vs Broadhurst and Gavin vs Mutley in terms of insomnia inducing action.

To be shut out though by any 7-14-3 opponent is pretty damning for a recent British champion.... a Latvian one is especially bad.

That Latvian actually looks quite decent looking at his record though.

Hard to say. He did well against Sartison but lost wide decisions to some guys I've never heard of. The more likely explanation for all this is that Williams is just rubbish.

    I agree

He was boring as **** to watch but I ****ing despise robberies no matter which fighters are involved. And that was one of the worst robberies I've seen in a British title fight.

So just because he wasn't great to watch, doesn't meran he wasn;t talented/worked hard at his craft etc and certainly doesn't mean he deserved to be robbed of his belt!

I know people who know Leon, Everyone says he's not seriously on it and seems a little slow mentally.

I mean he was in BN they did a small feature and in one answer he said ''I know Gangsters''. I shook my head when i read that, he seems to be more bothered with about things outside the ring..

My apologies he did. But it shows that the guy isn't a complete mug and that maybe the result is not as big a shock as everyone thinks bearing in mind the low regard that Williams is held by most posters.

I know this is a tired subject.

But this discussion on the wasteland that is the Cruiserweight division convinces me Bellew could walk it domestically.

i like turba. he looked a real winner. and he has stayed in the uk for years. so i hope he can go for the british title...it's open for him. big puncher good defence and fast.

just becasue he is slovakian/generic eastern european country and fights in the u.k. you could assume he is a joke. but the guy is a weapon in form.
