He didn't even roll the shoulder right.... and when he did... he didn't do ****. Is like he is trying to avoid the punch and roll at the same time.

To be fair to Berto, he was trying to do it against a Southpaw.... isnt the best opponent to try it out on.

Lol he gets punched in the stomach and shakes it off like he did not get hit.. Seemed like in the start he was trying to think he can beat this guy easy and block all his punches.. With no real game plan it seemed, but I mean he fought with his eyes almost shut and never quit..

You guys **** on a guy that gets KO"D "Khan" and even a guy that is getting rocked still trying to throw, the mock fest grows, wheres the respect for the fighters and what they do.:patsch

Peterson is in a class of his own, the absolute worst trainer I've ever seen, but Morgan is up there.
I fail to see how Morgan is better than Wolfe, In fact when you consider Berto's physical gifts along with his vast amateur experience, Morgan is actually much worse.

    Lol, got to be sarcastic

First off, the shoulder roll is utilized for quicker counters. What berto did was put his left shoulder high making his stance difficult to launch quick counters even with decent speed

Second, floyd's chin wasn't always tucked on his shoulder. He rolls his shoulder in whenever he's attacked with the right hand. Berto, on the other hand, just put his left shoulder up, tucked his chin, then stand at mid range. So it's better to call it "shoulder high defense" rather than shoulder roll

Now, as i've said, the shoulder roll is utilized for easier positioning and better mobility to throw in some quick counters. And berto looked like **** when he stood mid range with shoulder high because he doesn't have better mobility.

Hell, cotto and margarito's high guard has better mobility than that

Lastly, if floyd doesn't know how to position himself, or not quick enough to throw counters. His shoulder defense is useless

Also, he used to a south paw

Good southpaw opponent + static shoulder roll defense at mid range = "hit me for free"

    Thankyou....

The left straight will often hit, even more so, depending on the body positionings...

Though i favored Mayweather over Ortiz, i was surprised on how many of his lefts were landing in flush.... i think alot more than Mayweather had expected too

True dat.... Berto's more of a high shoulder guard, and crouches down on his backleg to elevate the shoulder (making him appear off-balanced, well ok he IS off-balanced). Changes the transition from defensive posture to counter offensives a bit...
