No disrespect to Guerrero but he has no chance against Floyd

He's got a chance because Mayweather is more beatable than ever right now, he just got out of jail and is still recovering his 15 pounds of lost muscle, and he ain't getting any younger either

 

I think he has even less of a chance than Ortiz did.

 

Agree with @locard, plus Guerrero has better boxing skill and IQ than the Tree

I wouldn't say no chance, but the fact that Floyd is 35 now and 36 next year means Guerrero could win. A 36 year old doesn't have the legs he once did. I still pick Floyd to win.

 

The only reason RG is at 147 is for the pay day. The Mayweather fight makes perfect sense, and will sell, especially when the HBO hype machine tells Guererro's story.

But no, he'd lose without a whimper.

 

This isnt even close. WTF is wrong with people who even give him 1% chance? Short of Floyd pulling an injury, he stands 0 chance. He cant outbox him form outside, not inside, he's not the bigger man, he's not stronger, faster or whatever. He literally holds 0 advantage. He beat Berto so what?

Baldomir had a better chance than this guy, at least he had chin and size going for him.

 

This is a fight Floyd would want. He likes to handpick guys who just had a big win so they are in the publics mind yet he can beat them. Guerrero is good, but he is not a big threat compared to Pacman. Although Pacman looks to be slowing down. Floyd might beat him easily had he fought him.

But really, anybody would have a chance, whether big or small against Mayweather. The problem is Floyd would not have chosen his best option if he ends up fighting RG. Robert is a fine boxer but he is a little overrated on these boards. Also, Floyd is being underrated when people consider his layoffs. I think the layoffs actually help him. When has Floyd looked terrible after a long layoff? He may appear one step behind but he's still always going to be at a level that's high enough to dominate his opponent.

Floyd can do whatever he wants with his life. I just feel bad for the naive fans who pay a lot of money to watch him fight his 3rd or 4th best option. They deserve much, much better. And these fans are not helping the sport because fighters like Floyd think it's acceptable so they are going to continue taking low risk/high reward fights.

 

This, everyone made a big deal about Floyd's 2 year layoff coming back to fight JMM. As if that made a difference, the guy is a gym rat, is in shape 24/7. The guy lives by his motto "hardwork, dedication". Hatton binging and becoming a drug addict for 2 years is different from Floyd training year round for 2 years just not fighting.

Also I doubt age will have much affect on Floyd, he didn't look less sharp in the Cotto fight, just slower legs. Floyd has very good technique, that doesn't really fade with age.

He stops Guerrero, easy. Like I said, if Floyd was fighting 3 times a year this would be fine as a tune up, but a once a year big PPV fight? **** that. Pacquiao may be fighting Rios next, thats equally BS of a fight, but at least we can look forward to another fight from him within the year.
