How do you guys see this going? I think Jones stops him after 7 or 8 entertaining, action packed rounds.
I've been saying this since it was announced, it's a miss-match and Jones will win by stoppage in the early-middle rounds. Purdy is on a good run, but has he really beat anyone close to Jones? Amar lost after he lost to Purdy. Johnson has been stopped before. Granted, Carrasco is a good win, but who has Carrasco beat? I even think the likes of Said Oulali are a league above Purdy. But I like Purdy, so good luck to him.
Purdy's getting knocked out but at least they're putting him in with good opposition. Should be a war for as long as it lasts.
I also think Jones will win. I see him having the better engine and durability down the stretch of the fight. It will be an exciting fight while it lasts, but I have a feeling Jones is potentially world title level, whereas Purdy for me is at best European level.
Lynes aside the two wins over Watson are very impressive. Jones will win but this will be bloody exciting.
I think Jones probably just edges it and stops Purdy around the 10th. Purdy's a decent little scrapper but Jones is a BIG step up for him. Carson proved against Brook he can take a lot of punishment as well as dish it out. I just hope it that if it goes to a decision that Jones doesn't get robbed. That would be horrible. Should be a cracking fight, may the best man win.
Gonna' be a really good night of fights. Fancy Rees to have more options to win and change it up if Murray's pressure gets to him (Rees smaller) and nick a close and fun points win. Purdy Vs Jones will be a war regardless of levels. I'm sticking with my prediction though, comfortable points win or late stoppage for Jones.
