Great post. I hope you're right about Ricky insisting on a big fight next year. He doesn't seem like the type to rock the boat, but SURELY he's got to have something to say about this! Re Ricky's statement regarding the fight, he's hardly going to come out and say, "this is a **** fight, the guy's a nobody, no point in all you folks spending your hard earned watching it". He's going to try and sell the fight, even though he'll be far more pissed off about this than any of us on here.
I'd be disappointed in Burns as a fighter if he didn't demand better and bigger fights from now on. Sorry but if he's content to just defend his titles against the decent names and not so decent names then there's a problem. It's to easy to say ''this is a keep busy'' and those sort of keep them at bay answers. Sooner rather then later even Ricky's fans will become disinterested and bored by his career. Yes Mitchell was a buzzing night but Ricky needs world class tests against the names like Broner, Vasquez , Abril and even DeMarco. 2013 there can be no excuses.
Thanks guys, but sadly when it comes to certain subjects and certain posters, you can take the horse to water but no matter how much you dunk it's head in the trough, the ****er still won't drink. I'm a bit concerned that I read yesterday that Rees may be fighting Abril for the WBA in April. That would be a very credible fight for Ricky and it won't look good if Hearn pulls that off for Rees. Always said Abril was the most gettable of the top 5.Billy the Fish should be chasing Vasquez vigorously.
For the last time, Moses is not a 'former world champ' - he held one of those WBA 'regular' trinkets whilst JMM held the real title. You can't ***** and moan about the proliferation of titles and then acknowledge them when it suits your agenda. The only people who picked Mitchell to win were cockney divs. The overwhelming majority picked Burns.
We love you PTF! We agree with you, so we love you and you love us! Now, lets all have a gang bang shall we?
The green eyed monster raising it's head Craney? You see how you can get a positive reaction when you don't try so hard to be an attention *****? Watch and learn
I'm happy to be corrected but I'm pretty sure JMM never held any WBA belt in 2009 and I think Moses won the full belt. And there was a very late swing towards Mitchell as the fight approached mate. You could probably even check threads on here and see that it was far from an overwhelming majority. As I said though, happy to be corrected.
Hold your tongue boy! Your talking to the poster of the year 2012 and future 2013 poster of the year, and future hall of famer. :deal If I arse wiped, brown nosed and agreed with everyone's boring "norm" deluded fanboy opinion(s), you'd probably find those sort of people would be saying how great my posts are.....its what the zombies want to hear. So the reality is, these people want to clap themselves, by agreeing with you. Because you all think you are right by the looks. The sooner the Broner-Burns fight happens, the better, and on that note, I bid you goodbye. I'm not a troll, alt account, or an attention *****. I'm sorry i cant be like everybody else, I just try to be different and have a laugh. :good
Good thing you've previously acknowledged I'm not a fanboy then mate.:yep I like quality trolling as much as the next guy,but you need a bit of variety, and you've become a bit like potatoes and gravy for dinner every night; Bland. The comedian's biggest curse has inflicted you mate.:-( Show is what you're made of and up your game
http://boxrec.com/title_search.php?title=WBASUP&division=Lightweight&SUBMIT=Go http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=152286&cat=boxer As you can see from the above, Moses won his 'regular' strap whilst Nate Campbell held the actual title. After Campbell moved up to 140lbs, the WBA decided to make the winner of the JMM - Diaz bout the 'Super' champ, meaning Moses was still merely a 'regular champ'. Finally JMM defended his unified lightweight title in July 2010 - two months after Moses had lost his 'regular' strap to Acosta. So in short, Moses never managed to legitimise his reign - he was never a bonafide champ.
Most failed/failing comedians, run out of jokes eventually, and shamefully turn to drag on the advice of others. This is fact, look around you. Peter Kay was once a funny down to earth lad, but even he eventually let himself go and sold himself to the devil. Dressing up as women, because the jokes had run dry and old. I can assure you, PTF, I wont be doing drag....those days are well gone my friend. I'm the Bill Hicks and George Carlin of the forum. Keeping it real, always, since March 2012 :good
Sorry mate,on my phone and not getting full page readouts, but happy to take your word for it. I only remembered checking Moses box rec a while back and didn't see mention of "regular" so that was why I thought he held the belt. He was still a legitimate opponent though.Let's be honest now, good fighters win interim and regular belts.Like JMM. And "super" belts don't always mean what they say.The winner of next week's fight will be "Champion of the decade" Two years in?
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=33562 121 - 39 in Burn's favour. Pretty overwhelming.
