Thats not quite accurate, the other guy has to absolutely dominate the round excluding the knockdown....the scoring was farcical

 

I don't know how you can defend Flintoffs position Widdy when it was so obviously a set up. Flintoff gets put on his arse with the only punch that Dawson had thrown to that point....Fred was on Bambi legs for a few seconds so what does Dawson do? Backs off. It was like watching WWF

 

Agree with Widdy. Why be so negative? Anyone would think he is stealing money. What he actually did was train like mad, work hard, box like a beginner - and win. Yes, a decent pro would knock his head off but if he works at it, moves up slowly and stays keen - he could reach a decent standard.
And if he retires tonight he's still done more than most.

Fact of the matter is,if Dawson had decided to follow up with another right hand once Flintoff was up he'd have seriously hurt him.And then he backs off as if allowing Flintoff to show off his newly aquired skills (or lack of),it was pathetic.
