Price has height and power, but he has no real defense or footwork. The K Brothers are so great because they control the distance in fights. You don't get close without having a limb nearly torn off in the clinch. Price also shows very little craft in setting up his punches with feints. If this guy gets a title shot next year he's going to sleep. He may beat Banks, but it will be based on his huge size advantage and not skill.

Exactly, Chambers is our best heavy.

How would it set up Price vs. Wladimir? People forget that Banks was regarded as a joke prior to upsetting Mitchell.

In fact, he was something like a 25/1 underdog against Mayhem.

Not in any serious pure boxing way. Just in a over the top movie sort of way (Banks being Wlads trainer)

I think Price was only 50% against Skelton last night. He even said himself that he could not get motivated for the fight and only prepared for a 3 round fight (post fight interview). We have in no way seen the best of David Price. The better the opponent the better he will be. Price destroys Banks. He could take him out early but he may choose to get a few rounds in the bank. I honestly believe that with Prices power, speed (he did not seem to utilise his speed last night) and accuracy he could take out any heavyweight in the world not named Klitschko in 1 round if he chose to.

Agree, Price didn't look his best...after the 1st I was actually worrying it might go the distance.

His 1-2 up top was much less sharp than usual, and Matt was actually laughing it off, throwing his arms up in the air and hooting after getting hit with it. Of course, the clowning all but ceased once Price showed an additional dimension to his game and dug those uppercuts to the body. :deal

A nice payday will change all of that.

By the way smartness, he's never had a fight at cruiser.

Right, because he's never had one of those across multiple TV dates internationally, and hasn't already considered that before dropping down.

He's the one who said he's moving down. Take it up with Eddie. :conf

He's been a Cruiser fighting at heavy for quite a while. You can bet your ass that if he gets a nice money offer at heavy that he will fight. News flash, fighters fight for purses. Him losing 2 pounds will not stop him from fighting at heavy.

He's already had big paydays. He's already fought for the World HW title, and probably isn't getting another random shot out of the blue, coming directly off a loss. (at least officially)

What big paydays (short of a Klitschko rematch) do you see being dangled in front of him all of a sudden to lure him back up?

He's been to the mountaintop and probably isn't climbing back up there. He knows this. He's moving on.

Just shut up and stop embarrassing yourself with jaw-jack posturing while trying to cover up your ignorance. :good

Fact is, you were out of the loop and didn't realize Chambers had announced his decision to change divisions. Stop trying to save face, you're only digging the hole deeper.
