it's offical boxing wants miguel cotto gone!

ever see so many shots go unnoticed ? he rocked trout several times early in the fight
trout was allowed to bang low held cotto like he wanted to marry him
THEN THE BREAKS dear god has a man ever had so many breaks to fix a string

then this **** with the scores? 119? 117? ... they talked about how close and how even the fight was the entire night!!! no outrage at these scores what so ever? none?

On the bright side, this makes it far more likely we'll see Canelo decide to get in the ring with Cotto, as losing a recent fight seems to be one of the major criteria if one is not a junior welter for getting an Alvarez fight.

Cotto has bolted from the ring after the decision in his last two fights now. I hope he's not deluding himself.

Trout won the fight. I'd be okay with 8-4. Scorecards don't really matter as long as they're for the right right.

Cotto looks like he doesn't have the heart in it anymore.

I had Trout winning 7-5, so I'm glad he got the decision. But I still think Trout is a very ordinary fighter. Cotto was a shell of his former self tonight. Dude could barely string any combinations together and his timing was way off, almost as bad as Ricky Hatton's last week. I hope Miguel retires or possibly has a farewell fight against a lesser opponent in Puerto Rico.
