Should they still make Canelo/Cotto on May 4?

But why? Cotto can go back down to 147 and maybe take on Ortiz or Maidana. Those are fights I'd love to watch. No Top Rank involved so they can be made easily. Canelo has no choice but to fight Trout. Floyd more than likely goes after Guerrero.

I'd rather see him against Martinez, Lara, Martirosyan, Kirkland, Bundrage, Trout - hell, even Thurman....

..I'm not going to pretend for a second that they'd really put him in there against Floyd.

It should be Austin Trout on May 4th and Austin Trout only, unless Mayweather wants to fight Canelo. Cotto would be on the wrong end of a knockout against Canelo.

my gut telling me its gonna happen.
And we get to critizice Alvarez even more for fighting the loser instead of winner of this fight.

I do think we see Trout-Canelo eventually. Haymon gonna get em a shot

Prefer to see Alvarez/ Trout 1st, although I think Alvarez/ Cotto is still a good match-up

So now Canelo gets a pass at fighting current champs? Many now would like to see Canelo fight a fighter that is past his prime. I bet those same would turn around and criticize Canelo once again for not fighting true champs.

Yesterday Cotto would brutalize Canelo, now Canlo would brutalize Cotto

funny how things change in one day.

I was on the Cotto beats Canelo bandwagon until I saw Canelo's last couple fights. He seems to be getting faster and more explosive. Those combinations would do a number on Miguel.

I think that Alvarez should go ahead and knock Trout out next.

    I agree.

Cotto didn't lose because he was too small. He lost because he was too slow.

GBP will keep Canelo away from Trout. That **** aint gonna sell on ppv anyway. Mayweather wont take the fight either because first he wont get any credit for the win since Canelo has yet to beat a live opponent and second its too big of a risk for the reward at the moment.
