its not about them willing..to say boxers dont try to win is just silly..what crazy said is true.wlad came out all guns blazing got counterd and did not recover.

wlad under manny dosnt leave himself open to be counterd and flatened anymore..

fighters come to win.but soon realise they cant because the game plan they had (hit wlad on his glass jaw) isnt and wont work and they dont know what else to do because not only has wlad got size..hes actually a pretty skilled superheavyweight which is a rare thing to see..

Peter has tried and failed. As has Austin, Brewster, wach, chagaev and probably some others.

His jab negates most attempts and once inside he smothers. Sanders countered a left hook with his own southpaw left. He buzzed wlad and stayed on top of him after hurting him.

Now was someone able to hurt wlad like that again then pressure is clearly the best choice but they have to land that shot first.

He's much more cautious now and rarely hooks meaning in reality you have to slip his jab and that is much harder to do and nigh impossible for the current heavyweights.

Brewster and purrity waited for him to throw the kitchen sink before gassing, providing he gives it his all in camp that is unlikely to happen again. Sanders countered first and pressured second, his frame stance and speed make that plausible for him but who else today can combine those features? Thompson is the closest match and look how **** he was against wlad.

Wlad is hugely one dimensional and arguably the greatest jab and grab HW in history. He maximises his strengths and noone out there can be realistically favoured over him. The best bet might be arreola, Perez and solid if they can try to pressure him into tiring but he should have the fitness required to deal with it.

Pulev would be an interesting style clash but i don't see him out jabbing wlad and every other punch he throws will be beaten by the jab.

Pulev uses his jab more effectively than Wlad. He beats you down with rather that using it to set up the right, so id say Pulev has the better jab. He is also sharp enough and has good reflexes to counter him with somthing big. Pulev is a serious threat to Wlad and i wouldn't be surpassed if he beat him.

The way wlad jabbed against chagaev is one of the best jab clinics I have ever seen.

His power is deceptive in the jab because he flicks it out as a range finder but he does so with 245 pounds of muscle behind it.

Pulev is the best prepared and in dropping Ustinov and dmitrenko he's as good an apprenticeship as is possible in the current landscape.

Someone that big had to try to walk wlad down i think and land hooks as wlad tries to grab.

The guys like arreola, Perez and Solis would be best served working the body and wearing him down as Brewster did.

Pulev needs to march forward behind his jab and rough him up inside. Does he have the ability to do that? I think it comes down to strength and if he can match wlad in that department he's got a chance.

Wlad was more of a vain male model bodybuilder dominating overmatched tin cans at that point in his career than a focused professional.

His losses helped develop him into a better fighter.
