Pirog made Gennady quit between rounds.
He beat all the rest clearly on the cards, yet you have nothing to say about ****ing Sergio going 12 and needing last minute heroics vs ****ing Barker and Macklin? LOL You say nothing of Chavez Jr. almost putting Sergio to ****ing sleep? LOL.

Pirog top man in the division.

Man, that dumb mother****er has never called GGG out though. Because his ***** ass was scared from the beginning. I remember an article on the scene where he was crying how nobody wanted to fight him and how he was ready to retire. Then GGG challenged him and he somehow suffered the "injury" of his life.:patsch Losing his paper belt in the process. :patsch

you seem to be sympathetic to anyone who is "hurt". as long as they have some type of "injury" they are not allowed to take criticism. Pirog is a proven gimp and without youtube or a dvd, people would forget about him because he is so inactive...his nickname should be the ghost

You seem to be slow on the uptake. People in this thread are saying Pirog ducked GGG because he had to cancel their fight because he got injured in training.

I am simply saying he was legitimately injured and all criticism regarding the validity of that injury is ridiculous.

    :deal

What's worse is people (on this very thread) have convinced themselves that the whole of the MW division is ducking Pirog :rofl and somehow Pirog is 'the most proven MW' out there :nut, It's Golovkin who other MW's stare across at nervously not Dimu 'almost slick' Pirog :patsch

And :rofl@the people thinking the injury was legit....these are the same people who believe that the grazing punch Arthur Abraham landed on the side of Andre Dirrell's face caused Dirrell to suffer a major brain injury

What's wrong with Martinez getting dropped by a lhw? I would much rather get dropped and be able to get back up then to take a prolonged beating by a guy 20 punds lighter than you. Pirog the top guy in the division? The same pirog that looked mediocre against Ishida??? Your mother should've swallowed you...

From Pirog 2010“Hi, it’s me, Dmitry Pirog. I fought two times this year, same as most name fighters do, but I did it in Russia. This happened in part because when I was signed up to face Danny Jacobs, I wasn’t supposed to win. So believe it or not, that may not have helped me as much as you’d think! Boxing is a funny sport that way.

“Anyway, it’s been an OK year. I beat a couple of decent fighters. I guess really what you have to blame my ‘disappearance’ on is a combination of American fight fans not being largely interested in following the international game, and the general politics of the sport itself — I am doing nothing differently than anyone else is doing in the middleweight division, really. What can I say? We’re playing the game.

“I appreciate you looking for me, but I’ve not gone very far at all. Just to Russia. Although I guess that’s far in some ways. LOL! But seriously, I’m still fighting and all that. I’m not Winky Wright.

Pretty much. The division was dead till recently. Now the talent level has gone up, all kinds of interesting fights are getting made. It's a lot easier to make them if you got HBO/SHO onboard though. With the new regime at HBO, MW is getting a lot of play, and even guys like Pirog will get opportunities.
