Alexander is faster, is more experienced, and the overall better fighter at this stage. Alexander has consistantly taken the best possible opponent and Brook will show him nothing he hasn't seen before, while on the flip Brook has never been in with someone with the athletic gifts of Alexander.

Alexander isn't that much quicker. Quicker hands probably, yes, and Brook could struggle with that along with Alexander's rugged style. Luckily for him, Alexander doesn't hit that hard. Brook's got a good jab and straight right, and throws nice combinations, but he's easy to hit and I'm a bit skeptical about how much his stamina has improved since the Jones fight. I Could see him fade down the stretch, especially if he tries to match Alexander's workrate, which he will have to if he's serious about winning, as I don't see him having the power to knock Alexander out. He seems a little one dimensional to me, and I don't see him being able to change to another gameplan if what he's doing initially isn't effective.

I think Alexander will outwork and out-think Brook to a decision win.

The same works in reverse. If Brook wins, the UK posters will act like Devon is an unbeatable tour de force, the best America has to offer.

Sadly, the truth gets overlooked. Devon is good, but he's hardly unbeatable. A step or two above Lacy, many steps below Mayweather.

No, it doesn't work like that. If Devon wins, then perhaps Brook needs to look at what he did wrong, UK fight fans aren't nearly as fickle as Americans. The only time I've heard British fans say our fighter got beat by an American because he was an unbeatable tour de force was when Hatton lost to Mayweather, and to be fair, Mayweather is the best America has to offer.

Lacy - perfect example. The mini-mike Tyson, loses to Calzaghe, oh ermm he was never anything in the first place.

    Dirrell
    Michael Grant
    Danny Jacobs

Were all the next best fighters on the planet, as soon as they got beat, they were all hypejobs and never anything in the first place :-(

Doesn't matter though, come January 20th Kell Brook will be world champion, bet on it :deal

americans get it easy. they don't have to travel abroad, but expect every other fighter to travel there. they produce much more boxing talent than the majority of the world, due to their sheer size. It's not surprising that most of the 140 and 147 division champs are american. if england was the same size as USA, i guarantee we would have the same amount of champions, especially if we continually had the comfort of fighting in our own backyards 99% of the time. i think england (not UK) have done extremely well to produce the kind of talent we have, considering the size of our country and the lack of popularity for boxing amongst aspiring athletes/sportsman.

anyway, i am pulling for kell. i really hope he can achieve his goals of becoming a world champion. he will train like an absolute beast for this fight, especially knowing the reward that a victory would bring him. he's dealt with the mistakes he made in the jones fight, and now he's brought in professionals to make sure he doesn't **** up like that again. steak and broccoli for breakfast - if that isn't dedication, then i don't know what is! :p
