cotto doesnt have the hunger nor the drive and cojones to fight at the top level anymore.. he just goes through the motions and is not willing to dig down inside when the fights arent easy and dont go his way.. is time for him to retire at this time he is just doing it for the money...

cant fault him he probably will still get at least a million or two vs canelo but what about his health down the line he actually looks like mosley at the end of his career.. a good name that wasnt any good any more but still was able to get good fights and purses

    :hat

After the mayweather fight people said cotto would destroy canelo school him u got little black slick lovers still hyping up cotto to beat canelo because mayweather got his toughest fight from him ever and literally had to go trough hell with cotto.

I've also seen this analogy thrown around
    Ward-trout
    froch-cotto
    canelo-Bute

but it seems one loss and all have fell from the cotto bandwagon even the Pr fans are off it after months of war of words on how cotto would annihilate canelo, one loss and its abandonment what a bunch of bandwagon fans

somewhat disagree in that cotto knows that he has gbp over a barrel as canelo wont/cant fight a legit 154 so he is their only option. canelo fighting the ghost would be even be worse than cotto and suliaman would not approve it.

cotto could probably get 50/50 without even asking; far more than a million or two.

it wouldnt suprise me at all if both schaeffer adn dlh are begging cotto, literally, to fight "la perra corriendo."

This is sad, funny and true. A carefully selected(cherry pick) of an opponent is still the biggest fight of Canelo's entire career.

Cotto doesn't stand a ****ing chance at this point. Alvarez is a as big and strong as Trout but hits much harder. He would beat the **** out of Cotto.

They're ducking Trout cause they know he's a serious threat! As is Lara! The only 2 muther****ers worth a damn at 154 for Canelo. Canelos resume is absolutely pathetic. Ryan Rhodes is his only legit win at 154

If Cotto was still in his prime, this would be a very entertaining fight that could go either way. But now, its nothing more than a faded warrior beyond his best to pad Canelo's resume. I have said it many times before,

Cotto will go down as one of the greatest fighters of this era. When everyone looks back to this era of fighters they will say Cotto was a true warrior who fought all available styles and fighters within his range.

Cotto has nothing left to prove, and I hope he retires with a healthy mind and becomes as great of a promoter as he was a fighter.

As for Ginger, lets see him take on some prime competition.

Canelo would stop Cotto in the later rounds. I think this is a good fight. Canelo is 22 years old and it makes sense to take the fight with the way bigger purse which will raise his selling stock.

It really is stupid when fans claim he should be fighting harder opponents for a lower purses. I have an idea, why dont you put some money forward to make up the difference! Oh no you don't have it so STFU.

Cherry picking is taking a lower or equal purse to fight an easier opponent. Otherwise it is called making a living or having a brain.

I don't think they are bandwagon fans. They are fans who think with their minds and not their hearts. There is no way in my opinion Cotto can go a full 12 with Canelo at this point in his career. As i said before the Pacquiao fight, if Margarito can tee off on Cotto, what happens when a harder puncher with quicker hands unloads. This would be a payday only fight for Cotto. He would be demolished.

Cotto would get stopped, and you said it yourself. This is not a good fight for the fans, its a good fight for Canelo. Good for business, bad for the sport.

I predict he will win but it is far for a certain outcome. People are making too much out of a close loss. Cotto is still a really good fighter and a solid step up in compitition for the 22 year old Alvarez. I dont think it will be bad for boxing as it will be an interesting clash that is likely to have some fireworks and is going to have a solid following.

A close loss. Oh dear. Cotto is as shot as a pistol. Whoever wants to see this fight is either a huge Canelo fan or a Cotto hater. Stick a fork in him, he's done. Mosley has a better chance of beating Canelo in a rematch. Atleast he would be able to go the distance. I'm in no way discrediting Trout. It's just that these type of losses don't bode well with a fighter's confidence. He may not have the same will to win as before.
