I remember watching that back in 09', it has now entered into ESB folklore as the greatest commentary line of ALL TIME.

His win over Barrett solidified his position as Legend, as well as his capture of the peoples lineal championship.

If they were being honest, they would have said "when you beat the shell of a legend...you become another ordinary palooka that beat a washed up fading legend on his last legs."

a fighters greatness depends on his whole career. A guy cannot be great because he beat one legend. If he beat other legends and has a legacy already, then beating another great solidifies it. I love Barkley, but I don't think he became a legend when he beat Hearns as Laing did not when he beat Duran. Rahman beat Lennox and there is no legend there.

Man, there were so many rabbit punches in those two fights. I'm pretty glad Paul Pender faded away...

A good question would be who is better? Rahman or Barkley. Very similar careers.

Oh look at me I'm going to post a name of a C level boxer who has that one big win.

Here's the thing. We know who they are because of that win. It doesn't make'em all time greats or any thing than a C level boxer, but we do know them.
